Well, her grammar and spelling aren’t too bad. I have full faith that SallyStar could one day come to make sense, perhaps, and that the fact that we all find her totally friggin’ incomprehensible right now may just be due to her unfamiliarity with this medium.
If Sally’s posts begin to make sense, I’ll take it back. But at the moment, I’m not impressed with her ability to express and defend her views, something that tends to be important in a PhD-obtaining situation. I am, though, willing to entertain the idea that she’s really much better at that than she seems.
Sally, if you’d like to know WHY people don’t understand your posts and work on becoming more coherent, I’d be glad to help, and I’m sure a lot of other people would be, too. But right now, you’re rather incoherent and EXTREMELY combative, never a good combination. You say you’re new to the internet, which, I’m sure, is making it harder for you to communicate. If you could just tone it down a bit and try to engage in more constructive discussions, we all might have a better time.

That was Johnny G. I LOVED reading Johnny G’s posts. They were so off-the-wall, I thought that there was no way they could be serious and suspected it might just be someone’s sock puppet with which to have some fun. I hypothesized this might be the case in a thread and got my hand slapped for ignoring sock puppet I.D.ing protocol (though I wasn’t really making outright accusations, the thought had just crossed my mind). He was banned not long after for reasons not public.

SallyStar, just a suggestion? The whole “Look at me I am a flighty chick!” thing got old after about the first post. IMO, anyway. YMMV. And while there’s nothing inherent in a GED that makes one automatically stupid (and Og knows there are folks with advanced degrees who aren’t worth their weight in lint), there’s something to be said, from time to time, for the ability to communicate effectively that often comes with college-level courses; I’m gonna go ahead and say I doubt you came 3 credits shy of a degree in microscopic dynamics;)
