I think my anti-Bush credentials are as good as anyone’s, and I think the Administration comments are almost exactly right. They’re simply dismissive, which is the correct tone to take. There’s no need to go overboard in denouncing Pat (loathsome as he is) because he’s just not worth it. I said our special forces should ‘take him out.’ And ‘take him out’ can be a number of things, including kidnapping; there are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted by the AP [Associated Press], but that happens all the time.
