Chargers will probably grab the last spot (all they need is a win over a Smith-less KC team) but I don’t see them going far in the playoffs, probably one and done. Too many injuries. Since their bye they’ve won games by 7, 3, 1 and 3 (in OT) points, and lost two games by 9 and 12 points.
Like every year the Chargers get this close I get excited, but this is the final year for Rivers and Gates duo that has done so well. They can never be this good again.
I hope they go all out for this one … Coach McCoy just keeps trying to run the ball even when no progress can be seen. He will have to loosen up for the playoffs and put in a couple of trick plays like a half back pass or the flea flicker for Rivers to play slinging Sammy Baugh.
Your probably right about KC without QB Smith plus the last game plus they have no hope of the playoffs plus the Chargers have to win to get into the playoffs.
What I see is the Chargers win tomorrow and Pittsburg Steelers win against the Bengals making the Bengals the wild card resulting in the Chargers and Steelers in the first round playoffs with the Bengals and the Colts in the other game.

The Bengals or Colts win and have to play Denver in Denver

Chargers win in New England … I hope it’s a blowing snow storm like the one they were embarrassed last time they played in the playoffs … oh so long ago.
Then the last game for the AFC Champion and the right to go to the Super Bowl in Arizona …
The Chargers are Super bowl bound I really think this could be Rivers last year win or lose … I just want him to go out happy with a Super Bowl ring too
