I’m with you! I love those things… I just wish I could remember what they are called. This is torturing me, as I should know. The soup you’re talking about is (I’m pretty sure) Mandu-kuk, but the name of those lotus root dealies is dancing just out of range… and, of course, the wifey has gone out with her friends and won’t be home until late. :smack:
Anyways, it looks like it’s up to me to make a plan for the next DiegoDopeFest[sup]TM[/sup], seeing as my wife wants to show off Korean food and I have to sleep with her and stuff. Lucky for you folks, yer pal Astroboy is fully prepared to… postpone that task for a couple of months. I just got my new work schedule today, and I’m back to working weekends again. For the moment. Dammit! :mad: (if you live in SD, and your cable goes out for more than a day or so, you’ll know that I’ve burned the place to the ground and am now in Mexico ordering drinks for me and the Swingline stapler).
So maybe August? September? We’ll all go get some Sam-Gyup-Sal and/or Bulgo-Ki! Woo Hoo! It’s the cook-it-yourself-at-the-table-BBQ stuff, and yes, it can be intimidating the first time if you don’t know what to do, but the waitress and me and the wife will help you, and it ROCKS! Vegetarians and people who can’t take spicy foods may want to either sit this out or order their own food… hehe…

Good times, good times. Attending were scout and her honey, encinitas, thomasm, jkusters, a non-Dope friend of ours, and me! Lovely conversation, good food, even better desserts, and even though for some reason I thought it started at 8 instead of 6, so we were a little late, t’was a good time all around.
So when’s the next one? Oh, yeah, I have to organize it, don’t I? BAH!
