Santo Rugger (RIP Santo Rugger)

C’mon guys…

SAN-TOS!

SAN-TOS!

SAN-TOS!

SAN-TOS!

SAN-TOS!

SAN-TOS!

That one will probably wake him up out of aggravation, 'cause there’s no “S” on the end of Santo. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, no, he’s a single Saint  But I don’t think he’s being played by Val Kilmer… God that movie was horrid!

SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-to!
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-to!
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-to!..

D’ye think if we called him ‘Sancho’, it’d piss him off enough to wake him up?

Trust me, you don’t want to piss off a rugby player. Ever.

Depends on whether he takes it as Panza or as any of the Spanish kings of that name. I don’t think we want to wake him up pissed, tho, given how beat up he is. Might hurt himself falling off the bed before he managed to hurt someone else, and we don’t want that, do we?

C’mon man, we’re all pulling for you.

Paging Tripler!

c’mon Santo. You’re soccer team needs you!

(I know he plays Rugby. I’m hoping he’ll get annoyed enough to come on here and open up a can on me…)

No worries, I’ve been watching this thread daily for updates.

I’m on leave this week, but next one I’ll be back up at school as staff. Maybe then. . .

I’d been waiting for a good time to send him a card with a set of my “crabs” in there. He and I’d been talking for a few months prior to graduation, and I wanted to at least send him something tangible to let him know we’re bucking for him.

Tripler
I’d send him a blasting cap, but I cant’ imagine the fun he’d have with that (with the nurses, no less!)

I don’t have much to tell. But this is the latest news from his facebook-profile:

“I got to hear your voice! They put a voice cap on your trach so I got to hear you groan (he he). Still looking good. I can so tell when you are “awake” and when you are “asleep”. Can you for real wake up now?”

I concur. Wake up, dude… your car is getting lonely.

Thank you all for your lovely cards and letters. I put them on the wall in his room, including the ones with bad words

Santo continues to improve physically each day. The casts on his arm should be coming off soon. He is moving around a lot and purposefully places his legs in positions that are comfortable for him.

Monday through Friday he receives all types of therapy - speech. occupational and physical. We read to him, play music for him, and use essential oils in an effort to keep his senses stimulated. Other times he has complete rest. Rest that is needed for new networking and such to occur.

We have faith that he will make a full recovery. Your cards, donations, well wishes, positive thoughts and prayers have made this journey a bit easier to bear. Thank you all again.

So does that mean he’s officially awake, SantoRuggersMom?

It’s going to be a long road to recovery; I do hope y’all walk it well. Thank you for the updates, SantaMom

He’s not officially awake yet, but he’s working on it. Today he turned toward a visitor’s voice. Very encouraging!

aFANTASTIC!!!

Try saying “Straight Dope” and see if he tries to type something.

Try saying Hockey Monkey thinks he’s scum.

Try saying “boobs!” and see if he raises his hands.

Er… don’t stand too close when you do that.

YAY!

Get some hot babe’s to walk in and out of his room ALOT. That should help!

You people are way too awesome! Thanks for all the encouragement, more importantly, thanks for all the prayers.
