Long time lurker in this thread but am absolutely thrilled for SantoRugger’sFamily that he’s showing this progress. Lots of us may not actively post about this, but were all standing by with our fingers crossed and our very best hopes directed to Santo and family. Looking forward to still more positive news as things progress.

Good news to report! Pat got a test injection of baclofen in his spine and had amazing results! Yesterday he sat up on his own and was able to kick his legs on command. Today he smiled :cool: at the speech therapist and raised his arm on command! It was the best speech class he’s ever had. Needless to say, she was thrilled! The test went so well that he will be getting a baclofen pump inserted on Thursday.

I got a little excited - he didn’t actually sit up on his own. The physical therapist sat him up, but he was able to balance and stay sitting up by himself:) Can’t wait to report more progress…

I am just getting over the flu, had to drag my sorry ass out of bed this morning, and only accomplished that with the promise of fresh-ground, fresh-brewed coffee waiting for me.

The coffee has given me something of a boost, but nowhere near the boost this news has given me!!! :cool:
