Sarah the Quitter!

Hmmm…but could he muster more than three words for his solitary contribution to a message board thread, I wonder?

Actually, I disagree that Bush was a blabbering idiot his whole life, I think he’s degenerated considerably through the years, and there’s a video here that takes clips from the past 10 years as evidence. It’s an interesting watch.

ETA: the video makes the case that GW suffers from early-onset dementia.

Anyone who understands something Sarah Palin says should see a psychiatrist immediately. The woman does not know how to speak coherently.

She wouldn’t last a day. We don’t really like quitters that much.

Well one thing is for sure, she certainly didn’t quit her job so she could promote the women’s rights movement.

She has probably single-handedly dashed any chance of us having a female president any time in the near future.

I didn’t think it was necessary to say more. I also don’t have as much time to spend on message boards as many of you do, and I rarely get any reply at all when I do post, so I tend not to say much. Does that mean what I say has no validity?

The fact that Dubya could not seem to come out with a coherent sentence to save his neck made me believe back in 1999 that he couldn’t think coherently either, but he still got enough votes to be named president twice, though arguably voter suppression and chicanery had something to do with that.

Of course you did. Subtext? She played point guard how long ago? Wouldn’t expect any growth would you?She is a joke.

One surefire way to get people to respect your opinions is to not-so-subtly insult them by implying they have no lives and your time is simply oh-so-valuable that you can barely manage to find a moment to respond to them.

That is nowhere close to what I meant, and I don’t even know how you got that from what I said. Do you feel that you have no life just because you are able to spend more of it on a message board than I can? Your life is yours and mine is mine, and I really don’t know enough about anyone else’s life to be making judgements.

I do get the impression that people sometimes deliberately take things in ways they are not meant because they enjoy jumping all over other people that they don’t have to face in real life.

And yet people do that so often anyway. Subtly accusing someone of spending a lot of time here because they have no reason to spend it anywhere else is nothing new, though I accept your protestation that it wasn’t your intent. It’s hardly an outrageous conclusion to which he jumped.

People who know me know that I am never subtle. It’s hard to avoid insulting people when you don’t know what they are going to take as an insult, and I guess this is another thing I missed, among many, because I rarely have time to read as much here as I would like, much less post.

I hadn’t thought of it that way. Though, I’d like to think that Sarah Palin is not representative of the typical American woman. She certainly doesn’t represent me.

Exactly. And anyway, how many times does Letterman have to apologize for something he never said.

I need about 160 words to adequately express something that someone else can express in much fewer words.

I had no problem whatsoever with eulalia’s post or defense. Then again, I’m not looking for a fight.

I’m glad people seem to have finally stopped saying that Al Gore claimed he invented the internet, also, I was really getting tired of debunking that one.

Did Alan Keyes make it impossible for Barack Obama to be elected?

If a capable female candidate comes along, Palin’s erratic stupidity will have nothing to do with her chances.

Oh, come now. I love that quote. It’s wonderfully self-congratulatory. I used that same phrase extensively on my résumé: “took the initiative…” I love how it makes me sound so innovative!

Before anyone gets all up in my shit, I admire Al Gore…a lot. But, it is a clumsy quote that was ripe for mocking.

(shrugging) I live around Chicago, and they say it all the time. Honest to God, we hear it every couple weeks. Don’t mean shit. I mean, really, if you were in the FBI and you were still collecting evidence concerning a Person of Interest (love that phrase!) would YOU blab it all over?

Anyway, the Wassilla Sports Complex is a state matter, not federal.

How?

Trying to emulate Palin’s thin skin are you?
