Say something genuinely nice about/to the previous poster

[sup]edited to add end quote. I’ll sign up for ocd treatment tomorrow.

Yes, you did. Though I’m sure you didn’t feel a thing.

I wrote the post, hit preview and found that you had posted while I was still deciding if ‘peerless inner beauty’ and ‘dulcet yet pleasantly striking idiom’ were, perhaps, a little over-the-top.

Sorry, norinew, I lost the text. But, as the kids say, you, like, totally rock! (I also think of your name as nori-new… what should I be thinking?)

Now for Elendil’s Heir: I like your way with words and your presence. While I recognize your user name from its originality, I also recognize it from the insightful comments I associate with it.

Y’know, many years ago when we got our first internet account, my very first email address was first name (Norine) last initial (W) @ whatever isp. net. From that point on, norinew became my standard username. Not very imaginative, huh? This is actually the first messageboard I ever joined, and it never even occurred to me people would read it as nori-new until some of them started just calling me “nori”. I’ve thought about changing it, but, I’ve been around for a long time, and I don’t have anything really clever to change it to anyway.

Hijack over.

Norine has written some of the most readable highjacks I have had the pleasure of poring over.

Ellen Cherry’s location field caused me to learn something new today. I also sense they are a generally happy person, in reading their posts.

[Petulantly fishing for genuinely nice comments about me]
Hey, you did norinew and skipped over me!!!

Ellen Cherry I’m familiar with only from this thread and yet I sense a genuine warmth and humanity.

SiXSwordS is funny and ejoyable to read. Also, he takes excellent care of his camel.

SixSwords has an interesting signature, and is winsome, even while petulant.

ETA: alice_in_wonderland often posts thoughtful replies to people who are hurt and in need of kind thoughts.

I sense that Zabali feels I am plural. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, heh… I think you are female, but don’t want to go by that assumption and be incorrect. (Almost certain, but second guessed myself at the last moment, in fact.) I’m somewhat addlepated today, I’m thawing, bit by bit from the numbness in March.

Although Zabali_Clawbane is previously unknown to me, I have a feeling I’ll be enjoying her posts for a long time to come.
