Not picking on you LouisB, but I’ve seen this theme before on these boards and I believe this philosophy is dangerously flawed. A policeman enforces the law, he is not your friend.
By all means, be civil to a policeman, but don’t be under any illusion that he is your friend.
That said, civility does not apply to these fuckers. They deserve nothing but scorn and contempt.
