SDMB Book Swap

I’m just incompetent. I had to wander around to find my book for a few days. And then when I go to mail it, woudn’tcha know it, forgot the books. Today: got the books, forgot the address. Tomorrow (Tues) for sure.

Never fear, Asylum. Your recipient has a book club selection to get read over the next few weeks, so she’s occupied anyway.

Besides which, who needs to be in a hurry to get a book sent to such a huge pain in the ass?

Okay Bristlesage…
Leavin in 5 minutes to go post this…
apologies for the Christmas wrap and duct tape… but I make up for it with a cool bookmark inside! WOO HOO!

go mail the book that is… jeez Alzheimers is settting in a little young

With crappy weather in this part of SDMBLand & a business trip the end of the week – I may be a bit tardy in sending my book out. And since my “partner” is in England (hi ** Steve Wright**!), he’ll prob haveta wait even longer…

I WAS going to send “Good Omens” but being an SF fan & from over the pond, you’ve prob already read it already!

I got my email and a book all picked out.

Gravity, it will be sent out - come hell or highwater pants - by friday.

I’m so excited…like a kid waiting for Chistmas morning! Is it here yet? Is it here yet?
Another Primate, yours is on its way. I sent it media rate, and since it’s coming literally from clear across the country I guess it might take at least a week. I hope you like it. Your book picks in the email stumped me a little.

What’s that line? “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor deadly hurricane force winds”? We had them all at the same time today but I braved it all and made it to the Post Office. Punkyova, your book should be on its way to you as I type this.

I am officially On the Stick. lurker b your package began its northward journey today! I hope you like it!

Ha! Buncha pikers. I sent my books to Vix on Saturday.

How do you spell “na na na na naa naaah”?

Yes, and I got them and I’m quite excited! Those look like great choices, Brynda. I sent my book to FisherQueen yesterday.

Great, Vix !!! You haven’t read them yet?

I sent my book last Friday! How do you spell neener, neener? Hopefully whoever has me is on the ball. I just finished my current primary book and am holding off on starting a new one until I received mine.

I got my notice on Friday morning, and was just finishing the book I wanted to send. I had planned to send it Monday, but then I felt guilty after reading all these posts about multiple sendings, so I had to run to the used book store to find another book so I wouldn’t be neglecting my swapee;)
And then this morning before work I cheated and searched for DarkWriter’s posts-and

:o I love you, DarkWriter!

Books will be in the mail at lunch, and I really hope you like 'em!

thank you so much, Cranky!

Just sent my selections off to Edward the Head this morning (meant to do it Saturday, but Things Happened)… the bloke at the post office said five to seven days is usual for airmail across the pond.

(Politzania, you’re right, I have read Good Omens. Looks like I can trust your instincts… )

Well, my package is in the mail to Rocking Chair. The lady at the PO said “about a week” but who knows?

And what all might be in the package? Life, death, comedy, romance, the land, the people, …

Oh, yeah! Canadian culture too!

Hope you enjoy!

Wow, that’s intriguing! Please elaborate!
I got my selections sent off this afternoon as well. Quasimodem, I hope you enjoy the selection. I’m interested in hearing what you think.

Sheri

:o awww, shucks…

Nothing creepy, I just agreed with everything you said! Also, I admire anyone that can be a writer and a Mom and surf the net diligently-I can barely keep the cats and dogs and fish fed (the husband has to fend for himself usually-but since he’s a house-husband and does all the other housework, he doesn’t mind). It’s always a thrill to find someone who shares the same interests.
By the way, your books are on the way!
Can’t wait to hear if you like them!

Well, the book is on the way. I’m such a putz, I’ve forgotten who I’m sending to, but it should be there in a couple of days.

HOOOOOOOOOOOORRRAAAYY!!!

Mine got here this afternoon. THANKS Yersinia!
New England and sailing… been in love with that since reading Captains Courageous 20 years ago.
I will start it tomorrow morning… while I sit at the bank waiting… waiting… waiting…
