I’m sure it was waiting there for me for a little while, but I finally stirred my butt and got out to my mailbox (it’s a big apartment complex).

Each thing that came out was more delightful than the last!

A farmer’s almanac? Cool.

Soldier bean? Soldier . . . beans. SOLDIER beans. I’ve never even HEARD of soldier beans, but hey, they have their own pork and molasses, so I like them already.
White Lightning mustard. Oh, man, I think there’s a cookout with this baby’s name on it - brats, cheese, beer . . .
Clam chowder AND Lobster Bisque? I am IN HEAVEN.

And it’s all local Maine food producers. Very impressive.

I’ve begun plotting. Will I share it with friends? Or eat it in front of my brother and taunt him?

It’s HERE! IT’S HERE !!!

Bless you, JoseB, for the extraordinary present! I picked it up today from the Post Office.

A BOOK: “Russian Fairy Tales” – I’m drooling over it – beautifully typeset (how did you KNOW I like this sort of thing?) with woodcut illustrations. My spouse, who grew up in Sitka, Alaska (which is heavily Russian Orthodox) will also enjoy it.

And a lovely card with sparkly daisies. SWEET!

Apparently, JoseB and I share the same bad juju (AKA mojo). MY first-sent present went awry into cyberspace … as did his. Life be’s that way sometime. I am so pleased that this present showed up in my universe.

I am absolutely STUNNED that Reepicheep was designated my “Alternate Santa” and that her wonderful gift(s) arrived yesterday !!!

How SWEET is the DOPE! I was thrilled … real Florida oranges, amazing chocolate/coconut candy, wonderful 12-days-of-Florida Christmas card (REALLY clever), and some Florida “wall art”: a 3-D palm tree in a frame, and a glitter-fish! I LOVE GLITTER!

So much so, that we both bought the same wrapping paper – white tissue with glitters all over the place … and now on my floor

Very happy here. Thank you so much for this EXTRA UNEXPECTED generosity. Love ya!

So very glad it got there and that you can now enjoy your glittery floor. Enjoy the fruit, it is from a friend’s trees. So no pesticides, but a couple of determined 7 year olds did pick it so blame them not the post office if the fruit is slightly squishy.
