I picked up my gift today! I went to a specialty shop in a historic part of San Jose (CA) - my first time ever there - and bought the gift that I am hoping will be acceptable to my giftee! I’ll be shipping it off soon, maybe Thursday or Friday.

Tracking said my package was delivered today so my giftee will have a surprise waiting at home tonight!
Your giftee received her package last night! I was just coming in to say Thank You! I am like a wee child and could not wait until Christmas to open it. I love the mug and the magnet. I do indeed sleep with pit bulls. Two in fact, at the foot of the bed every night.
Priority mailed the package at 9 am this morning. 
I’m definitely not going to make the Dec. 12 deadline (because, yes, I’m making something!), but I hope to get it in the mail no later than Friday.

Hey there rocking chair, sorry I missed adding a note. The dishes were made by a friend of mine and the money to pay for the dishes goes toward a “van go” art project for children. My friend is a living legend and has won many awards for her art.

Santa has obtained cute little gifts.
Santa has obtained the cutest little box that holds them all comfortably.
Santa even wrote a note.
Santa has not, however, made it to the post office, so Santa’s recipient’s Christmas holiday may get extended due to the belatedness of the gift. Who knows, the PO might come through after all, but if not: Santa warned you.
I’m shopping this weekend and should have my giftee’s present sent out on Monday or Tuesday. I always ship Priority, so it should make it in time. If it doesn’t, I will go ahead and apologize in advance for forgetting about the post office package deadline.
Okay, I mailed my package this afternoon… However, a note of caution: If anyone gets a package from Canada, don’t read the label. I had to write a description of the contents, and I don’t want the surprise to be ruined!

Mine came today – though I’m not sure who it’s from.
It was two little tins of Oh.My.God. delicious smelling tea (seriously, you want me to dilute this with hot water? I can’t just eat it?) and a good-sized bar of some seriously gourmet chocolate (which I will be eating one tiny square at a time).
Thank you thank you thank you! Please identify yourself – there are worse situations to be in than having a mod think you’re the bee’s knees.

Sorry, I missed the note in the OP about outing ourselves. Hope you like the chocolate, I had to get a bar myself. I also got a tin of the Toasty Almond tea. I really hope you have a strainer. Should you ever make your way to Frederick, MD they will take a dollar off a tin of tea if you get the same kind.
Oh, BTW you’re a pain to shop for, all you do is Mod anymore!
I got a strainer, I got a big ball infuser, I got a teaspoon infuser – I’m fully stocked with tea gadgetry. Can’t wait to break it out in the morning!
