I dunno, i don’t think you’ve come close to matching my stupidest opening moves ever earlier on in this game.
It’s not that it was devastating, just so stupid. I mean, I had TWO fleets that were essentially free to support F Edi-NTH. One of them didn’t even do anything else, just sit there. The other supported a move that could only have been opposed by me, ferchrissakes! I foiled me. Sheesh, just shoot me already. I blame it all on today’s media and my shortened attention span.
Surely the communists must take some of the blame??? 
This will be an interesting tangle to unravel… what the game needs is someone to shake off the baggage of lethargic thinking, grab the board by the scruff of the neck and shake it vigorously, striding purposely on to unanimous victory!!

Hey! I hate these Dip announcements…I always find out about games 2 weeks late. However, I am bravely putting my name in for the postulated second game. I can still remember my last game as France, where 3 years in England, Germany, and Italy all attacked me, while Russia stood by the sidelines refusing to stab Germany. Bastards.

Word to the wise, don’t let your Admirals drink all of that port and sherry before sending orders in.
I was wondering about that too, but the move actually makes sense. France would have the same number of SCs either way, because Italy couldn’t take both centers. This way, he forces a disband and can take Spain with less of a fight in the spring. Working with you, he can then get Mar in the fall.
By the way Shibb, I told you so.

My standing policy is to only comment after winter turns, so recognize that I may be even more full of crap than usual.
Have you heard of these “trade” things? He’s going to need the fleets to defend against Austria, who can easily spoil the game for him. F Por - Spa (sc) with F Mao support in the spring, then in the fall F Spa - Mar with Pie, F Mao - Spa (sc), and your A Bre, Par or Pic to Bur or Gas to cut the support of the army (wherever it is) all assuming France doesn’t disband it.
He gets another SC, you both demilitarize MAO, and you go after Russia (nee Germany) like I told you to last year.
And congratulations to Turkey, for making a move outside his home centers for the first time since spring '01.
And a note to Nate, that 1903 typically comes before 1904.
Oiiiiii - stop preempting my negotiations!!! And anyway, the Mid-Atlantic Ocean is demarcated as “public space” and “therefore” cannot be “owned” by “anyone”
