I’m game. My Bnet character sucks (level 23 or so paladin who can get to Hell, but doesn’t really want to), but my open characters include a level 47 barbarian with the angelic set and a bunch of other fun stuff.
When my new PC gets here I will have 750+ MB of RAM, a 100-Gig HD, and a bunch of other fun stuff.

as a meeting thing, i put forward the chat system that critical1 offered. it seems to work great, though it is a separate utility and you have to run it in the background (which could lead to problems under certain conditions. like when i tried it out and freaked out critical because his IP was the one i tested with).
we don’t want to put upon poor critical, so for the actual meeting (at least, the beginning) we can use my 'puter. i’ll host a chat array at the appropriate time, and post my IP shortly before.
for the actual game, we will want two others. my poor little 56k will shit itself over the prospect of running a voice server and my gameplay.

ok well, if noone else can run a voice server during the game, i can do it. however, it will be REALLY SLOW. my 56k will clog up, and i would really like it if someone else who has a Cable/DSL/T1 connection would carry the voices.
i just noticed a feature to split the signal into multiple channels, so we will probably only need one server, as long as that server has a high-bandwith connection.
my computer is still ready to hook up into to get the real-time organazation done. anyone who can should, if they have something to contribute. it will be a lot faster than bouncing off the boards. i (or someone else) will just have to post an update to this thread to keep the poor voice-deprived from falling behind.
i might not be able to get into the game right at the beginning, because i have a paper due tomorrow that i should really get done. i will be on at some point, though!

Also, I’m looking for a few people to join me over in Midgard on the Percival server in Dark Age of Camelot. Look for Krunk in the Brotherhood of Steel guild. So long as you don’t mind third person speech, we’ll get along just fine.
As for the chat, not everyone has a microphone or bandwidth to support that, but I have a java based IRC plugin for my site which I can activate to allow everyone to chat in a room before actually joining the server. Someone come up with a time, we’ll play a real game this time.

yah, it was pretty fun wasn’t it? i especially enjoyed turning you into smears on the wall with the 4M21 machine gun and the Auto-shotgun. 
you don’t really need a headset mike, ethilrist. i use something attached to my desktop that has extremely high gain and an off switch. all i have to do is lean forwards a bit to speak. it’s a lot less likely to get smashed than a headset is. if i leave it out. it’s also a lot cheaper than a headset is.
anyway, i’d love to join the next one, too. hopefully we can try to do one of these on a saturday, as i have more free time then.
anyway, if we do these enough, maybe we can train you to kick as much righteous ass as sterra does…

friday evening, saturday, and sunday probably. well, and some holidays.
all i know is that i have zip spare time during the week, or at least not enough to play a fulfilling amount of CS.
What might be a better idea is simply finding a fast server and having everyone join it. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about getting a decent amount of people in a game.
Sterra has a good point, thats where BC comes in handy, since CS doesnt have a buddy list everyone hops on bc and we find a game that way. works pretty good that way.
