Thank you; I do not. One Sunday I went to get some art supplies and because traffic was light, I decided to drive down Charleston rather than get on the highway to get home. Saw the building, stopped and took the pano and went on my way. I do this all the time, stop to take pictures of graffiti, so I have quite a few. That one looks pretty good, tho, because it was relatively fresh (and protected) and because I had the full afternoon sun behind me.
IIRC the wall was done to raise money for and awareness of childhood cancer treatment.
Yeah, I got lucky. It was actually on a family vacation to Florida, taking a boat trip, so I didn’t bring my Canon 400X lens that cost more than my camera, I had a relatively inexpensive 50-300X prosumer lens. Getting that shot off a moving boat was again, pure luck.
I also got a good shot of the osprey coming up out of the water, but unfortunately, without a fish in its claws, or that would’ve really been a killer shot
Nice pic. Years ago when I was hiking in the Porcupine Mountains with a friend, a black bear came walking down the trail and came right up to us. He backed us up to a lake until we almost in it, getting within a few feet of us before changing his mind and walking away. He didn’t seem aggressive, more like a big friendly dog who was curious or looking for a handout.
It wasn’t until he was walking away that I remembered I had a camera around my neck! I finally took a couple shots before he disappeared into the woods completely, but the pics were just blurry dark blobs.
(I was going to make a joke about how that’s high praise coming from someone with your username, but a quick googling tells me that herons and cranes, though similar looking, are from entirely different families of birds).
And now for something completely different. I have absolutely no idea what this is or how it happened. It showed up in my camera between a bunch of cat pics. But I think it’s pretty cool.
