That is awesome!

I have a similar photo, when someone bumped my tripod as I was photographing the Bastille Day fireworks in Paris. I’ll see if I can find it.

I know I have a handful of “Whoa! How the fuck did I do that?” phone pics as well, but that one is really cool.

I can see jiggling the camera and getting squiggly lines but squiggly lines and straight lines? It’s a mystery.

Looks like a multiple exposure (would account for the straights and squigglies). Look closely and you can see repeated patterns. Maybe multiple images of 3 or 4 lights?

In any case, it’s cooler than an icicle.

mmm

I really wanted to say “No it isn’t” but then I found it.

A couple nighttime long(ish) exposures on a tripod

I would have guessed space carrot.

No, space carrots are different.

Great photos here.

Trying to work out what to post next. Here’s one I took in Havana, Cuba:

My son and I drove to Rexburg, Idaho in 2017 to see and photograph the total solar eclipse.

Here`s an HDR comp I did of a sequence of images, to highlight the various parts of the Sun’s structure:

You can see the surface of the Moon lit up by Earthshine if you look closely.

Here’s a ‘Spooky Moon’ shot I did for a Halloween story:

The Moon was shot with an 8" Celestron Telescope, while the clouds were shot with a Canon DSLR at the same time. I then comped the two images together.

A couple of shots of gulls:

Nah, it is a crinoid.
I am loving this thread!

Very nice!

Thanks. Oh, I forgot to add that Mercury and Venus can be seen in the image as well.

Love Leland, one of my favorite towns.

Nice image.

mmm

Nice. I only had to walk outside to see the eclipse, but didn’t have the gear for a good photo.

I was in Prineville, OR for it:
