Hey wait, so you guys aren’t at PokerStars? Shit.
It’s like enthusiastically entering a room expecting all your friends (or at least a friendly group of strangers) and having it be deserted.

I would bet that a good deal of us are. It’s just that we have our own table and server etc elsewhere.
CIB, come join us at Mavens. We can kick your butt overthere, just as easily as we can a pokerstars. It’s really easy to register.
Edit: I just prefer to sit across the table from you. Bees and I do not get along too well.
It’s been a long strange trip. We’ve been on many sites. At first, the problem was finding a site that would allow both private tourneys and really low stakes.
Then it got to be a hassle to transfer funds into sites when the internet gaming laws kicked in and some of the places we played folded, causing up to pack up and start again…sometimes not being able to transfer funds to the new spot.
Plus the house rake would further dwindle some of the meager stacks. Were were left sluffing off chips to needy players in private heads-up games and stuff.
A real hassle.
So we were like gypsies, moving from place to place, trying to find free private tourneys.
Does PokerStars allow free private tourneys? Since many of us can’t put money into the game without jumping through hoops, free private tourneys are the only way we can keep playing.
I for one am very happy with the Poker Mavens site. It’s basic, but it gets the job done quite adequately. I did get a shitload of poker spam for a couple of weeks after I requested my password via email, but it’s maily tapered off now.
The cards were in alignment for me tonight.

I’m curious, how are the standings calculated?
Ancient Oslo Secret
It’s a highly complex set of calculations based on quantum statistical analysis of quasi-permutable game theory.
Or, just put me at the top and call it good!
It’s a log-weighted average, stolen from some poker site years ago. First place gets you a lot; finishing last doesn’t hurt so much.
I got yer log RIGHT HERE!
Sorry I missed last night…computer picked up some nasty trojan that spams anti-virus messages PLUS…one of my employees did not activate our alarm which in turn, notifies me, which in turn means I have to go back to the office to activate it. Employee vs. Wooden Yardstick. Yardstick won unanimously.
That’s what REN said!
Get in here, Yeti. I need to log some of yer chips.
But…

gd pc. back when i had to do this nonsense i used a bat. additionally, the next morning you were responsible for breakfast tacos for the department. and i had no problem calling up the offender at 2 a.m. and telling them that they had to pick up 50 bacon and eggs and 50 carne guisadas.
we didn’t have very many repeat offenders.
May be late checking in tonight. Will register now, but may not be here in time for 9:05 Central.

I can’t brag too much about this one. I got some serious luck, and at just the right time. Flopped a three-card inside straight, heads-up, to crack Mind’s aces. I just owe you an apology for that one. Sorry dude.
Have a good week, everybody.
I bet ol’ MW will log 1st in chips and logs.
