Just got home. The neighbor (who was looking for your gift to arrive) didn’t mention a gift. If it should have arrived by now, don’t panic. It may still come. If it doesn’t arrive, please don’t resend. It is soooo expensive to mail to my pueblito. I would prefer that you send me a PM, and I will give you an address in the USA. I will be there in June 2014. If you are in the USA, it would be less expensive to mail. Thanks for playing Secret Santa!

Got to the P O today. Drove home singing an absurd little “I got my secret Santa gift, I got my secret saaaaaaaanta gift” song. giggles Really, getting this package totally made my day.
I got a pickle! (And I don’t even wanna riiiiiide on your motorcycle… Bonus points for those who can ID) My SS couldn’t have known that I’m half German (not without some seriously scary Internet snooping) so I already was familiar with the tradition but somehow never received one. Now I have a pickle!
Also, a box of maple chocolate truffles. Ehrmahgawd. I like chocolate. I like maple syrup. I don’t know how many decades I might have swum through life not thinking to combine the two. What a fool I was.

I am home, and was able to open my present. It was a lovely huge book of mysteries and a perfect little watercolor (ok, I love it but I don’t know the medium. Acrylics? Not oil or pastels, I don’t think.) the picture is leaning against the counter in the kitchen where it can be appreciated, and the book is being read while I sit amidst unpacked suitcases and bags.

Waxwinged, I found the card in the book! And, if you checked out any of my postings, you know I wouldn’t have minded a bit had you read it first!
Just wondering if my gift made it to the destination. I’m assuming it hasn’t been picked up yet?
I might go out in early January and just re0buy everything and send it again, and make sure it’s wrapped properly this time.
I don’t think my package made it either. If I don’t see anything to indicate that it has been received by the end of the week, I will go out and find a new gift and send it early next week.
Mine may still yet arrive, but the window of hope is smaller.
One year I sent a gift, it was recieved, but the recipient did not post about it here. The person running the thread contacted them and made sure they got it. I hope that isn’t the case here, it’s not good to not thank a giver.
I think it’ll be all right.
I know it’s hard to be patient, but give it a little more time before re-sending. Last year it was mid January before mine arrived and I was heartbroken thinking my sender flaked. That was not the case. My package came from Switzerland and was sooooo worth waiting for. If your package is going to an international destination, it can get held up for any number of reasons. It takes 2 months or more for me to get something shipped to me from Hong Kong.
I’m still waiting but not concerned about it, so whomever my gifter was, don’t re-send yet if you’re contemplating it. Things do take a while to arrive sometimes. I’ll be happy whenever in 2014 I get it!

I got the most splendid felt axolotl magnet (I love axolotls too, actually, so perfect), a wonderful bar of chocolate with butterscotch, a wee felt elephant shrew that will be ideal in every dollhouse of mine it visits, a Union Jack pin, a Union Jack pen (to be kept at work so my fiercely Anglophile child does not run away with it), and a lovely postcard of Bath. Whee! You did an awesome job! And your family runs a zoo: I confess, I’m jealous. 
I’m off to visit their website now. Thanks again for the absolutely delightful prezzies!

Received my package today. Thank you, EmilyG! The cat treats are the same ones my kitties get when I clip their nails, so they will be enjoying them soon. And the paint is a color I don’t have, so I can’t wait to use that!
Just wanted to stop in and say thanks to Silvorange for running the show! It was so much fun. And Filbert, I’m also jealous of your family’s zoo. I’m glad I didn’t go with my first choice of gifts - you said you like odd animals, so I was going to swing by the zoo here to pick up an ornament with an octopus or naked mole rat or some such, but that’s old hat for you, I suppose. I have to say, I’m sad it’s over (Almost? Is that everyone now?). As much as I loved my gifts, I think I loved the anticipation even more. And it’s nearly as much fun to see everyone else’s surprises as it was to get mine. Thanks, everyone, for participating!
