To show you how this exchange rated in my life, just last night I *finally *got around to packing up the gifts for my daughter - my OWN daughter! I’ll be taking the box to the post office today.

So, yeah, we see where my priorities are. :smiley:

Sent my box off to the UK on Dec. 10. Oddly (and unpleasantly) enough, the nice lady at the USPS said my box just weighed too much to be sent by long slow mail. Odd. I thought the heavy stuff was SUPPOSED to go the slow way! I didn’t put it into any fancy Priority Mail box, either.

At any rate (bad pun there), it will be arriving much sooner than I thought! I guess that’s Good News for the recipient.

I hope to have time tonight to read THROUGH this entire thread :smiley:

I’m giving two more days to the part I ordered to get here and decide if I think it’s nice enough to send. If it doesn’t get here or doesn’t rate high enough, I have a backup plan. Either way, a Priority Box will get picked up Wednesday. That should be plenty of time to arrive by Christmas since USPS says the deadline is on Saturday.

I sent mine out this morning via Priority Mail. It should arrive Wednesday. Sorry that it’s about a week late in coming; I was pretty sick the weekend before last and couldn’t shop or post.

The Xmas underwear went abroad, so I’m honestly not sure how long it will take for them to arrive. By Christmas, I hope, but they do have to cross an ocean…

I received my package yesterday and am steadfastly not opening. My gifter’s Doper name was not on the outside so I don’t know who it is from, except they are from San Jose, CA and I THINK the last name is Reed. Sorry, didn’t have my glasses on. The box is marked “this end up.” Could it be a lava lamp???
