I knit and crochet, so a skein of yarn (especially is it was made in your local area) would be great. I’d be happy with most any color except for pink or yellow.
For jewelry, earrings or bracelets are about all I wear. Funky and local is awesome.
I would love anything homemade. Sweets, no coconut please. Savory, no mushrooms.
T-shirt size is Ladies L in most things, but XL if it’s “fitted”. (Does that make sense?)
lord of the rings, supernatural, sherlock, discworld, avengers, x-men
chocolate: i have a favoring for belgian or brazilian, but either way, milk chocolate, and sweet
i make jewelry, so i love beads and beading supplies
favorite colors are blue, green, silver
I am allergic to shellfish but unless you are sending me a crab, I’m not too worried. I’m not allergic to nuts but not particularly fond of them, either, so no chocolate with nuts in it, please.
I like local stuff (local to you) including food and tea. Socks are good but I can’t do wool. Ornaments, earrings, dark chocolate, and cats. And yes, I am a car nut, anything LeMans or road-racing related is cool.
Thanks for organising this exchange - I missed last year’s. I’m looking ahead for a surprise. I love reading (used books), crafts, geeky stuff, cooking, vivid colours, and have no allergies.
I guess I should make my own “likes” list. I don’t have any allergies and I am quite open to homemade goodies and/or things I won’t find nearby. I drink both coffee and tea. I like all kinds of colors, but I never wear yellow. I like bicycles, crocheting, rhinos, hippos, Jane Austen, fantasy, science fiction, homemade stuff, and local stuff.
I like this exchange because it seems like everyone stays within the limits.
I participated in one on another site a couple of times, but it was hard when people posted gifts that cost five times the suggested limit, and people started hoping they would get a generous Secret Santa. I can’t keep up with that, and I started feeling bad that I wasn’t spending more.
Everything here is just more reasonable and relaxed.
I’m in! I enjoy teas of all kinds, but I’m allergic to coffee. I like purple and green, wear an X-Large, enjoy honey, and would very much enjoy something from my Santa’s home state or provence.
Will you let me in? I still don’t know if my person ever got her package last year. I will get a tracking number this year!!!
Anyway, I am still enjoying the afghan that I received last year and looking forward for a new surprise for this Christmas. I like anything craftsman style, earth tone colors, good chocolate, and good tea. I collect vintage rhinestone jewelry and snowman figurines. Anything homemade, handmade or local to the sender would be very cool.
My favorite color is green, and I would love something from the sender’s location. I also like flavored black tea, flavored coffees, and chocolate. My T-shirt size is 2XL, and I have no allergies aside from penicillin and codeine. Other than that, go crazy!
This is my first time-I already have some general ideas!
I like cats, horses, owls and squirrels, the color green, food and coffee are great. I, too, would love something local from my Santa’s area. I love hand-made things. Non-dangly earrings.
I’m pretty easy to please, so if my Santa has an interesting gift idea not on my list, that would be fun, too.
I love yarn and crafty stuff, fancy teas and coffees, would love some local treat that ships well. No known food allergies. Allergic to nickel, but cute buttons with slogans are good, geeky stuff is good, I love glitter. Christmas ornaments and soaps are always nice.
Books are great, I love nonfiction history, so anything about your local history would find a good home. I love true crime and mystery too (I collect books about murders and mysteries, so If you live near the site of an historical murder, that would be just perfect). Alternately, some good comedy is always nice.
Why haven’t I done this before? No idea. I’m in, and will do international, too.
I’m a chick, I like girly things. Colors generally earthy, anything deep toned and reds, purples, brown, midnight blue, black, gold, like that.
Handmade stuff is awesome (though I don’t do any myself).
I have cats, so cat toys are cool for them. (not cat-themed decor, though, my mom takes care of that no matter how often I remind her not to!)
Anything local from the giver’s town/state/area is good.
I’m a 2x.
Love teas and coffees and dark chocolate, honey, maple, hard candy, jams/jellies, no allergies or restrictions.
Paperback fiction, horror, murder mystery, sci-fi.
Geeky but not gamer stuff is cool, Dr. Who, Buffy, Star Trek, stuff like that.
Anything that can be hung/mounted on a wall or tchotchkes.
Thrifted stuff can be fun, too!
And the list goes on, I’m sure whatever is sent, I’ll dig it.
