Now, as for the competition, well, I didn’t realize we would actually have to do anything other than sit around and look good, although I am willing to do the board shorts thing. (Funny, because I have a pair of red board shorts that are my favorite thing in the world to wear. I think psycat has washed them almost everyday for me. What a sweetie!) Anyway, I don’t think my existentialist and physics quotes would go over as well as DRY’s Shakespeare.

Like the woman who won the first Miss Las Vegas Showgirl Competition, I’ll be turning a light off and on to the tune of Home on the Range for the talent portion. I’ll also be wearing a Speedo because a) I do have the body for it (if I don’t mind saying so myself and why else have I been busting my ass at the Y for lo these many years) and b)my legs are a little short for my height (6’ tall but with a 30" inseam) and board shorts make my legs look even shorter. The tux will not be a problem, as I have my own (no rentals for me, a good tux isn’t that expensive and it fits so much better than the rental kind) - I can even tie a bow tie. I’d also like to say that should I win, there are no nude pictures, criminal charges, or other embarassing episodes in my past that may come to light and bring dishonor to this fine competition.
