I’m assuming he’s an old guy. He was just listed on a scavenger hunt I did once, so now I throw him into any random rambling I do because it’s fun and… random. 
And since you’ve waited sooooooo long, I wanted to update you at every stop along the way. Everything purchased to send. Now I’ve just got to round it up into a coherent package and get it ready to have postage put on, then mailed. I hope that’ll be tomorrow. If not, it will definitely be Monday.

Ok, Alice. Your first package definitely went out on Friday last week. Your second pacakge was supposed to go out Tuesday, but I got all the way to the post office and realized I had left your address back in the office. :smack: So your second package went out yesterday. Your third one will go today, and the fourth one tomorrow.
I neglected to label the second one, so watch out! And they should be there in about a week, so hopefully you are looking for the first one this Friday or Saturday! Please let me know!

Package number 1 has arrived! (Actually it came this morning, and scared the crap out of both me and the post-man as I opened the door before he had a chance to knock).
It’s a lovely SNOW GLOBE!! I LOOOOVE snow globes. And it’s a big one too - with a lady bear in it. Very cute.

Oh, good. I’m glad that this exchange is ending on a good note, instead of with dissapointed people. A special thank you to everyone who played/offered to play Santa for more than one person.

My package came on Saturday while I was gone, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Thursday, hubby got laid off. Friday, my hours got cut. sigh Talk about suckage!
ANYWAY … Everything was pink and foo-foo and girly (just like I like it!). There was a very nice card, embellished with a pink butterfly on the envleope. My gifts include a very soft dip-dyed scarf, a pair of pink socks with yellow dots on them, ice-cream shaped lip gloss/body glitter, vanilla/raspberry lotion (with a lovely ribbon and cording bow), an address book with pink and purple flowers on it, a very cool pink mechanical pencil (I didn’t know they made those!), a set of petite windchimes with a birdhouse on the top (with pink flowers painted on it, of course), and I’m sure there was other stuff that I’m not remembering because I’m at work. OH - and a box of Toffifay, which I had never had. They are fabulous!
It was just like Christmas, but exactly two months late! Thank you, faithfool for restoring my faith in the goodness of Dopers everywhere.
Aw shucks ma’am, I’m just glad it got there and you liked it. And I had so much fun picking it out, because ( ::: shuffles feet ::: ) liking pink is a guilty pleasure of mine.
Now that I know the candy was good, I see a mission in my immediate future.
Too Avarie, I’m so sorry about your husband and your jobs. Good freakin’ grief, why can’t employers do right by those that work for them? I’ll be keeping y’all in my thoughts and perhaps you could share some of that lip gloss ( if ya know what I mean ) to perk him up.
