Santa, travelling incognito, disguised as an old lady and utilizing ancient Chrysler products instead of the more recognizable reindeer, was gone from my mail box but an hour when yours truly, returning from another whirlwind adventure at the loony bin, decided to see what wonders awaited in the cold steel box. Imagine my surprise to find, not a stack of epistles requesting my hard-earned dough, but… a mystery package! An unassuming, white envelope, filled with I knew not what. The return address was a mystery. Perhaps those rotten Douglas brothers have finally tracked me down, and if so the mystery package was no doubt filled with a nefarious substance.
“Well, you only like once”, I said to myself as I bravely opened the package. The explosion/gas cloud never materialized, and instead, a tightly wrapped, smaller package and a chrismas card slipped out onto the table.

Could the Douglas’ be so deceiving that they would hide their means of destruction in a Christmas present? My senses tingling, I opened the envelope, which had my name written on it in very un-Douglas-like handwriting.
Then it clicked. This was the long-awaited package from my SDMB Secret Santa! Yay! Because I am a child at heart, and an impatient, poorly behaved one at that, I immediately opened the package. Included was a fine book on various ways various Pennsylvanians have met their violent ends (“stories of tragedy and survival”. I love it!), and a wonderful keychain with a miniature Liberty Bell hanging, dingling away in my palm.
So, a huge thank you to rocking chair. These gifts were wonderful! I enjoyed this immensely, and will definitely sign up for next year!
I sent it. Hope my receiver doesn’t mind it came from online - the only place I could find what I was looking for, so no handwritten note. 
Did my shopping yesterday, will mail it today.
I got mine today! Eyebrows of Doom knows not to mess around with hungry pregnant ladies and got me exactly what I asked for: Jam! 2 beautiful, fancy jams from Berkshire Berries in berry golden raspberry and black raspberry that she got at a farmers market in Union Square. I love them, and I think I’ll try one with some brie and baguette tonight. Mmmmmm! Thank you so much! 
I sent my package today, too, and they said it would arrive Thursday, so totally in time for Christmas. This is so fun!
I sent mine today, I’m sorry to say that it wont be there until the 27th. I have no idea why it’s going to take so long. I sent it UPS ground (the post office was closed) and I’ve had stuff go farther faster with UPS ground. I’ll just hope that it gets there sooner.
So, if a certain someone hasn’t received theirs by Christmas, you should get it the Tuesday after. SORRY!!!

Just received a package from Ivory Tower Denizen! I can’t wait to open it, but I must! I shall revel in all its Secret-Santa-ness on Christmas morning.

I had a lot of fun dusting off my glue gun and got a bit crafty with my present. It’s been way too long since I had an excuse to do a project like this. Part of it involved taking a decorative object from Ebay that would rarely (if ever) be used and repurposing it into something that may get used every single day. That’s a win for the environment and also for the person that received the item. I had way too much fun dreaming this up and implementing it. We need a Secret Santa thread several times a year.
Santa’s Reindeer have too many packages to deliver Christmas Eve. A wonderful gentleman in a red & white stocking cap said he’d deliver it next Mon or Tues in his priority mail truck.
My gift for my Santee arrived today. It will be going out Monday.
Twicks told me that my Secret Santa asked if I had any tree nut allegories. I do not.

I received my package from Ms Robyn today! Inside was a Hallmark Tom and Jerry ornament set. I almost bought that one earlier this year. Thanks so much Ms Robyn! They are hanging on my tree now!
My order has not come yet, but I have the package ready to ship to my Santee as soon as I get it. I haven’t forgotten you Santee!
