Secret Santa 2011

Go ahead, torture me! That’s the Christmas spirit!

You’re quite welcome! I’m glad you like it!

I mailed mine yesterday, and supposedly my Santee will get it on Dec. 20.

My giftee should have gotten their package by now and I haven’t heard from them. Hoping all is well…

Same here - mailed it priority mail a week ago Saturday, so it should have arrived Tuesday or Wednesday last week. I hope it didn’t get lost somewhere!

Your secret Santa and Santee are the same person! Mine too!

Your gifty went out today–Santa’s been a bit under the weather as of late–but the unlikely-looking somber Santa-san at the post office assures me it’ll reach you by Christmas.

Also, Santa-san is a pain in the ass here, and charges me print rate if I so much as add a letter, and he even got all in my face about the words used on the customs declaration, so your present has no letter in it. But you’ll know what they are. :stuck_out_tongue:

AND–yours arrived today!! It’s a big booooox, it’s a big booxxxx, I can’t waiiiiit to open, but will wait until you get yours! I think it’s my favorite fooooood…♫ Thank you!

Ho ho ho!

My gift came today! Got a very nice lanyard from Umpqua Community College and an inkpen from Evergreen Aviation Museum! Thank you Lancia!

Got my gift today! It’s a little ceramic pen-and-small-objects tray with kittens on either side and a blue felt holder in the middle for the objects. aceplace57, that’s really cute! I’ll put it on my kitchen counter and use it to hold car keys and coins and all that other stuff that my (real) cats like to play hockey with.

Thank you!

Sorry to say but I succumbed to temptation and opened my gift, I could not wait till Christmas. After all, it came from all the way on the other side of the county! Inside was a lovely miniature embroidered pillow filled with the fresh scent of the woods of Maine AND a Maine postcard made of Maine wood. A postcard actually made of wood! Since this is too precious to use as actual mail I added holiday decorations and it now has a prime spot on my Christmas tree. And my Santa scene is much improved with the addition of the sloop (?) embroidered on the pillow.

I am happy I did not wait! (Hint, Hint to others who may be waiting)

Thank you Santa!

I am sitting here drinking a yummy cup of freshly ground coffee from Los Gatos California! Thanks Infovore!!! It’s so much better than Maxwell House. My Sweetie says thank you too. I wasn’t going to share it with him but I decided to be nice since he’s sick. The chocolate covered beans are really good too but must be eaten in moderation.

I also love the card, and I got the connection so I feel smart  (Yay for finishing my last ever Spanish class!!). The box you put it all in will be very useful in packing up my sister’s present and my niece will undoubtedly steal it from her. The little penguin has a home on my desk, next to the creepy bust and the statue of an old lady.

Thank you so much, I love my gift!

My package is winging it’s way northward now! I hope it gets there before the weekend!

Mine is winging northward, too, via Priority Mail. The jolly guys at our PO tell me it will be there before Christmas!

Well, I lied. My gift to my Santee will be winging it’s way in the general direction of the blizzard tomorrow, 2nd day mail. You should have it by Saturday, Santee.

Nothing yet in my mailbox. : pouts :

So, no sound of broken glass tinking around, then?

  • peers into mailbox hopefully *

  Infovore, I’m glad it got there unbroken and that you like it. It was a lot of fun for me to get a bit crafty for a change.

I’m so glad you liked it!

Did you notice the plane on the pen flys across the water as you tilt the pen? My wife, the kids and I went to the Evergreen museum some years ago, and if was awesome! (And no, that’s not the testosterone talking). If anyone ever gets the chance to visit, it well worth it. They had a bucket of those pens for sale behind the gift shop counter, and the saleslady said they were the last of the batch – after that, they were switching to some other design. So I’m glad I picked up a few!

I find key lanyards handy, and that particular one can be disconnected from the keys easy, so it serves double duty. UCC is only about 10 miles from where we live, and hopefully my current studies there will allow me to get somewhat ahead in this life. For me personally, it a very special place.

Gift is en route today - hopefully to arrive by Friday!

I did notice the plane ‘flying’! Very cool! I actually have 2 similar/different pens, one I got at the Louisville Zoo with a tiger leaping out of the brush & another with a horse that ‘trots’ across the arena from the Kentucky Horse Park. THANK YOU!

:smack: I am beginning to feel extremely anxious about my gift, like I should send something else. It’s not homemade or organic or _____. This was hard for me as I’m very new here yet and didn’t know many tastes. It was delivered and no word yet. :frowning:

And whomever has me - no worries. Hanukkah is a week long, so shipping is no big deal.

chiroptera thank you so very much! I love the two lovely candles – they smell so nice. One of the soaps is already in the soap dish just waiting to be used. The other, both of which also smell lovely, is in the shower waiting for use. Thank you, thank you , thank you for the absolutist wonderful Michigan raw honey. This is a most excellent Santa gift and I am a happy Santee.

Your package got here on time, it was just put in the wrong box., 71 not 17. It took a while for the nice person who got the package to find me when I was home.

Thank you again chiroptera for making me a delighted Santee.
