Seen Any Good Movies Lately? A Cinematic MMP

Good morning, dear Mumpers.

It’s Firday!!!

GT

Good Mornin’ Y’all! It’s Firday and I am a bear of leisure. For a while. I do need to defilthyfy da cave. I will. I promise. Soon. I’ll get right on that. Really. First I have to finish caffienation and forage for some brekkie. Can’t defilthyfy on an empty stomach now can I?

We shall dine at Dead Lobster tonight. Ol’ y’all know who has a $50 gift card. It’s a Crimmus present that has not been used. I figure we can wipe it out tonight. It ain’t my favorite place to eat but, hey, free food!

ArchiveGuy the MMP is the most highjackable of all MPSIMS threads. The whole idea is to hijack the op. It’s all about everything and nuttin’. Look at it this way, would you want all this ramblin’ and carryin’ on to show up as separate threads? We keep MPSIMS neat and tidy because we care dammit! That’s our theme. We’re nice like that.

Ok, more caffiene and brekkie. To be followed by cave defilthyfication. Really. I swear. Clean da cave. Yep. Gonna do that. Real soon. Anytime now…

Later Y’all!

Happy Firday blurfs.

Yeah, BioRosie, we really did try to get on JJB. We thought she agreed to it in December, and we were scheduled to go to LA for the taping season that started on the 13th, but Sharon quit talking to the producer. She said the show was a joke; I think it was because she was told that she couldn’t leave the state or she’d violate her bail provisions.

Doesn’t matter that JJB can provide custodial supervision for people in her situation. She’s too dim of a bulb to even ask.

A no rest weekend ahead. I get to burn another house in the morning, have bambilance duty tomorrow night, and VWife is making me change the flooring and toilet in the bathroom Sunday BEFORE the Super Bowl starts.

Well, I had to shampoo carpet agin last night :stuck_out_tongue: You can get off your lazy ass any time now…
Damn dogs. Anyone want a pair of hyperactive boxers? I can even give a four cat bonus if you act now.

*Sigh

Cleaning carpets and floors has become my life. My little dog is on his last legs (literally) and has no bladder control anymore. Every morning I have to wash the floor before I have coffee and then several more times throughout the day, and one of the carpets is ruined and we’re going to have to replace it. Between the sadness of watching him fade and the frustration over cleaning it up over and over, I’m an emotional wreck half the time.

New Coworker was surprised yesterday to find out that I have not watched Galaxy Quest. He’s gotten it for me to watch this weekend. Him and Documents Man (the party at whose house included talk about PvP vs PvE vs FPS and about favourite Girl Genius strips, among other things) have informed me that I must, absolutely MUST watch it or lose all nerd cred.

Documents Man, otoh, has loaned his copy of Firefly to New Coworker, who hadn’t watched it. I did watch it a couple years ago, when I was visiting a friend in Nottingham.

I’d like to call New Coworker “the Troll” because that’s the race he plays in Wo(S)W, but it has bad connotations here. Guess I’ll go with “the Hordie”, in case we get newer coworkers at some point…

It’s looking seriously like a Popcorn Weekend, although tomorrow I want to go to the public pool for a bath (it’s in a Victorian building and considered “very visitable”, I have to go at least once in order to be able to see it in person), and to the private pool that’s actually much closer to my house in order to ask whether it’s possible for a non-member to pay-per-swim (they do have some programs open to non-members), and to the fishmonger-who-is-also-a-chickenmonger.

So looking outside the window no rain tomorrow morning, you hear?

Karyn, been there. :frowning: Have you tried the doggie diapers?

bobbio, it’s the price we dog lovers pay. If it ain’t hair, it’s gak or poo. I think my little old lady, Jade, has lost a measure of control lately. Last night I went into the Master Bath to change out of work clothes and she followed me in. She was very excited I was home and had been bouncing around. The next thing I knew there was a turd on the tile. Good thing she’s a small goggie. :stuck_out_tongue:

dottie, what a scary thing for your dad! Glad he’s on the mend.

Get to work, swamp boy!!!

Happy Firday to all and sundry and let the weekend begin!

Tupug

OK, I’m now not caught up again, but good news this morning - TPTB decided that we can wear jeans at work permanently going forward. Yay!

Happy Firday all!!

Example: I don’t care what anyone says about her politics, cuz I’m no fan either, but no matter what her little brain has to say - Elizabeth Hasselback would be instantly forgiven if she were to drop by one evening in some snazzy little black shimmery something. Ya know?

Also, on the “Women I am in lust with today” segment: For the last 18 months or so, I’d been seeing the same masseuse every week. I may have mentioned the lovely and sweet Veronica, she with the perfect hands. Well, she’s on maternity leave (a bouncing happy, cuter than hell baby boy with a MASS of black hair), and she recommended who I should see until she returns, a girl named Andrea.

She made sure Andrea and I both know this is only a loan and told Andrea “he’s mine, I get him back when I return” I’m a good tipper.

Last night, I saw Andrea for 90 minutes. Next time, I’m packing a bag and kidnapping her. (A) She’s really pretty. Very girl next-door pretty. (2) She’s a blast. Instead of constant silence, and work work work, we were cracking each other up. (A.1) She has incredible hands. Starts by asking how much pressure I like, I said whatever you got. So we begin, and she asks is that ok, or maybe a little more? I say “you got more, let’s see” I could hear cracking and popping even over the cheesy flute music playing in the background. Cracking and popping in her hands and arms I mean. I think I have internal bruising throughout every muscle in my body, and it feels awesome. (2.a.I) She finishes the same way Veronica does, with this very quiet, slow, almost sensual (screw that, it IS sensual) scalp and face massage, at the end of which she rests a hand hand on each side of my head and very quietly whispers "ok Bus Guy. And slinks out the door.

It’s like beaten up for 80 minutes and then left gasping for more.

So at this point it’s not how/if do I break up with Veronica, but more a matter of where The Wife will sleep when I move Andrea in with me?

::lights cigarette, fanning herself:: :smiley:

Nava - I’m so glad he’s better! How scary!

I don’t have to work today! I’m gonna be a slug. While hubby and his helper replace the kitchen window. Ok - well I’m gonna go to the bank and to the store. Shrimp stir-fry for dinner! But I ain’t cleaning a damn thing, that’s for sure. Not until tomorrow. I might even watch a movie!

Speaking of which, I watched “Waiting to Exhale” the other day for the first time. It was pretty good! I cried, of course. I’m such a wuss.

Ok- everybody have a great day! That’s an order!

MBG they only love you for your insurance deductible. :stuck_out_tongue:

BBBobbio and Puggy I did indeed move off my lazy and quite considerable behind and spiff up da cave. It looks loverly now. Even did two loads of laundry includin’ foldin’ and puttin’ away.

I say it’s nap time. Then I’ll start gettin’ tax stuff together.

I’m caught up now.

Hope your dad gets better soon, Dotty!

Sounds like a good plan Shelli.

I like the Sara Lee cake idea, swampy, but since I didn’t see the suggestion until this morning at work, I think I’m going to stick to being a party pooper. Hah! That’ll show 'em! OK so it won’t but I’m feeling icky from a couple days of overeating so I’m going to go home and eat my Lean Cuisine in peace.

And maybe bring in cake next week. That’ll really fix 'em.

You probably don’t want to know what I can wear to work.

Not caught up… Bad night. Got up seven or eight times.

Waiting for naptime.

Can’t focus eyes.

Actually, I’m okay, but I’m very sleepy. Very very sleepy.

Why is my cat Aerin so bloody damn stupid? Nat’s started trying to pick her up by her tail. Why doesn’t she run when he comes near? Why does she walk near him, slowly, waving her damn tail? She hates him!

LiLi, the ways of our feline overlords are mysterious and stoopit. What can ya do?

I have a house full of goggies and sleeping boys. Himself stayed up late last night playing with his new ViewSonic monitor–twiddling with the resolution, downloading better video drivers and fine tuning his dual display. Did he get the new router going as well? Fuck no, he did not. He needs to get up, but all the dogs (we have Callie as well, and Grandboy is zonked out on my spot on the couch) are too tired from zooming around the back yard for three hours this morning to go wake him up. Bear’s the only one awake and he’s too busy nomming a rawhide bone to bother. See, if he destroys that one completely he feels perfectly justified in then stealing one of the other dogs’ bones. Callie must’ve heard him thinking because she just woke up enough to go rescue hers out of his way. Dominance struggles, we loves 'em!

You don’t want to know the complicated machinations necessary to get all three of them fed so there’s a barrier in between each and all the others and what it takes to get them into the house separately so I can try to clean the mud off their nasty little feets. I am but a Critter Slave…

MBG, you’re a ManSlut!

Holy crap, Dotty! Yowza, that sounds totally terrifying!

The neighbor has apparently bought another non-running VW bug, probably to be parts for his running VW bug–they towed it in on a strap and tried to let it coast around the corner into the driveway while the tow car stayed straight–yeah, didn’t quite work out as planned, luckily the bug weighs not much so it just stopped when the slack gave out and didn’t take out the corner of the fence. Sheesh, guys, there are several of you and you’re all young and healthy, just push the silly thing!

Man, it’s so no fair that the boys can sleep through anything but I’ve been up fairly constantly since 0600–maybe I’d like to snooze too! Boys are annoying… Himself gets to make the blueberry pancakes this morning since I can’t have them and he isn’t bothering to keep up with his dishwashing either so the kitchen’s too much of a wreck to work in. It’s pretty much the only chore I’m refusing to take up–all the while I was working full time and he wasn’t he was supposed to do all the housework, which of course meant occasional dishes and vacuuming JUST the carpeted parts every two weeks or so. So I got stuck with vacuuming AND mopping AND dusting AND cleaning the bathroom AND laundry AND straightening AND everything else that needed doing–of course now that HE has a job (that doesn’t require a two-three hour per day additional time commitment for commuting) he thinks it’s “fair” that I do half the dishes.[sup]2[/sup] Yeah, not gonna happen there, homeslice!

Grump. I’m gonna take the Grandboy to Powell’s today, I have a book waiting for pickup…

taxi, I’m very very jealous of your new dress code. The propellerheads get to wear whatever they want to work, but us business folks have a no-jeans policy except for Fridays. Pout sniff sulk.

LiLi, Aerin-cat is both stupid and brave. But you knew that already.

Dotty, your dad’s ordeal sounds scary as hell. I’m glad hear he’s on the mend, though. Oh, and give your hubby a wet trout slap for messing with the toddler sleep schedule… having to wake up at 5am because of someone’s boo-boo is cause for justifiable homicide in my books.

As for me… I’m going to go finish snarfing down my lunch, and then I’ve got a buncha meetings that’ll take up most of the rest of the day. Joy bliss.

I forgot earlier…

Dotty hope all is well with dad soon. I’ll keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

I have all my tax stuff together. Step two is to go through it all. From there I shall make a decision to either do 'em myself or call the accountant for an appointment. They are a little less complicated now so I might attempt for the first time in several years. Or not.

I took a look at Dead Lobster’s menu. Some of that wood grilled stuff looks good. There’s one with shrimp and salmon that from readin’ sounds like it would be nummy.

I cooked a chicken in the slow cooker. It will turn into a chicken casserole for Sunday bein’ as it’s brunch Sunday at church.

I cleaned, did laundry and cooked today. I feel all industrious. The nap I took was totally justified.

I have a huuuuuuuuuuge zit growing on my cheek. Yippee.

I can haz weekend?

Five more sssssssslllllllllooooooowwwwwwww minutes…
