Seinfeld, toilet paper, and McDonalds

After work today, I had a little running around to do. I was also very hungry and decided that, since I was already out, I may as well have a quick bite to eat. I settled on McDonald’s.

Before I went to place my order I went to the washroom to wash my hands and then realized that I also needed to visit the stall. I’m sitting there, tinkling away when someone enters the stall next to me and after a moment says “I’m all out of toilet paper, would you mind handing me some?”. There was about one second of silence ( but it felt longer ) while I decided whether or not to say it. I decided to do it.

“I’m sorry, I don’t have a square to spare.”

Laughing from the next stall. I was sure glad she knew what I was talking about or it could have been embarrassing. I don’t know why I did that, I’m normally very subdued and controlled. But it was pretty funny.

Btw, it took me longer to come up with a threat title than it did to type the story out. I just couldn’t figure out what to call it.

You ever notice how people aren’t willing to share their toilet paper at McDonald’s anymore?

I liked Seinfeld, but I wasn’t a freak about it, so it surprises me sometimes how many phrases from that show I use on a regular basis, still.

No soup for you!

They are real, and they are spectacular!

HELLooo… Newman!

The dingo ate your baby!

And many, many more. That show is stuck in my subconscious.

Brilliant!! Good on you for not letting that excellent straight line go to waste.

Thank you. I am still surprised that I said it. It was pretty out of character for me, but I just couldn’t let it go.

… not that there’s anything wrong with that.
