We finally see evidence that the show is set in the 21st century.
What is Helena’s motivation in the Chinese restaurant? The look she was giving near the end, the comment about bringing him home to meet her father and he’d be the first? It seemed more personal than corporate in motivation.
But of course with the specialness of him and Gemma (what was the reason for the “Hannah” thing?) the corporate may be personal.
Maybe they are suspicious of him. Remember, they know that he somehow had their murdered security man’s access card back in season one.
Early on in S1, we saw Mark’s driver license with his DOB in 1978 and either the issue date or expiration date in 2020.
“Because of Jesus.”
“Jesus…Christ?”
John Turturro is a treasure.
The look she gave though? Before he left? It was the same awkward look in the hallway posing as Hellie like waiting for a kiss. I’m thinking Mark was both Helena’s and Hellie’s “first time” … I am imagining Helena not having had any intimacy physically or emotionally in her life. And she is as confused in equal parts with being manipulative.
But really very much not sure! ![]()
ETA. I really like the sort of affair Gretchen is having with innie Dylan who has what outie Dylan had before not finding his thing broke him down.
I fear they’re setting up Dylan to be a villain this season. He’ll do something to betray the others in order to keep his wife privileges.
Evil Helena is just doing what all gazillionsires do on Thursdays— hit the local Chinese buffet! ![]()
She sauntered over, reminded him of her position and purposely called her Hanna to see his reaction. Either because they suspect he is getting re-integrated? Or his severance chip needs an upgrade??
Either way, Britt Lowry is amazing. Fans love seeing and hearing Helly, and when the expressions change to Helena, fans recoil. Incredible.
Maybe Helena sees an advantage to getting (probably her first) boyfriend and a pawn in a company she’ll run— or thinks she will.
GAAAAH! Love this show but it’s killing me!
This! ^^.
Helena Eagan surely went to Eagan Scout School (or whatever they called their funded schools, DON’T do the “surely thing”…)
As did Miss Huan. As did Seth (SETH!!!) Milchick.
My guess is any people a part of Helena’s life was planned or hired or whatever.
Her outie was royal trained. “This is who you shall date, my Eagan spawn…” or something.
Great. Now I’m craving waffles.
That’s what I assume the meeting was for, trying to provoke a response out of him to see what’s what. I don’t think Miss Huang was asking about hallucinations out of concern for the nosebleed itself, I think they know those symptoms are all related to reintegration.
Eight year olds, Dude.
Pretty appropriate what with all the fucking and sexual tension over the past few episode.
I’d assume that’s not what it means, though.
Patricia Arquette must be a happy camper, she’s basically got herself the tv version of a no-show job on a mobbed-up construction site.
What’s the point of whispering on the severed floor? Even if Helena was lying about removing the cameras, I I kind of doubt that whispering is defeating the surveillance equipment.
Maybe I missed it in previous episodes, but I liked the wedge-shaped lintel above the front door to Irv’s apartment evoking the mysterious black hallway/red light down arrow elevator.
With Burt’s “I’m not going to heaven” talk as the flames of the fireplace crackle behind him and the possibility that he’s been with Lumon since before severance, I’m beginning to think that the O&D coup actually happened. Hello, Attila.
Maybe Helena is Cold Harbor.
I suspect that Bert was pulling a Helena on the severed floor for years. There never was an innie Bert.
Ooooooooo…
Did I miss this somehow? When was this revealed?
In the 2nd episode this season when they show Outie Mark’s perspective. The OTC happens on Friday night and he goes back to work on Monday.
Maybe this woukd explain Miss Huang. Maybe she’s an Eagan who’s been transferred to a younger body.
Of course the ability to segment memories within a body doesn’t necessarily imply the ability to move them to new bodies.
