I was thinking that maybe one could tell what kind of person you are most likely to be able to have sex with by looking at the percentages of the ones you’ve already succeeded with. This is giving me some interesting data, but I’m not quite sure what to do with it.

I’m lucky to be of fairly average sexual experience (9 sex partners if you don’t count fellow male participants in three-ways, and I don’t), so I can break it all down in my head rather quickly. My ex-wife would probably need to close some programs to free up resources for the spreadsheet.

Here are some of the interesting trends I’ve noticed…

MARITAL STATUS

Married - 4
Single - 5

I’m guessing this is not normal, even though one of the married ones was married to me. One of them was in a marriage of convenience for work reasons and one had just had her divorce papers finalized, so I guess it’s not as bad as it looks, but one of those under ‘Single’ had been living with her boyfriend for a couple of years, and I’m just guessing that another was single because I don’t know anything about her.

VERDICT - Marital status doesn’t seem to matter much

RELIGION

Atheist - 1
Muslim - 1
Christian (Catholic) - 3
Christian (Protestant) - 1
Pagan/New Age - 1
Unknown - 2

A majority worship the same god - though an Atheist I seem to have a preference for followers of God/Allah. Whether this predicts an ability to score with Jewish girls is yet to be determined. Catholics are the largest single group, though I swear I wasn’t seeking them out. I usually don’t even know they are Catholic until later. Maybe they are coming after me.

Anyway - statistics point me towards Daughters of Abraham, preferably papists.

APPEARANCE: BODY

Short and Overweight - 4
Tall and Overweight - 3
Short and Average Weight - 2

Well. Maybe I should start cruising Lane Bryant’s. I have an account with them…

I’m not entirely sure myself whether this is a preference of mine or just the way things work out. I usually end up with aggressive women who make the first move, so maybe these statistics say less about me and more about them.

APPEARANCE: HAIR

Red (natural) - 2
Red (brunette) - 1
Brunette - 4
Blonde (natural) - 1
Blonde (brunette) - 1

Even if you don’t count the ones that dye it something else, brunettes rule this list, with natural redheads coming in a distant second.

AGE

(all ages are at time of first sexual encounter)

If we disregard the one whose age I can’t guess (she looked older than 20 and younger than 40, I have trouble guessing the age of people of her race and it was dark), and guess about 40 for the well-preserved mother of a 17 year old daughter, we get an average age of 28.25.

So, what does this say? I think it says that I need to spend more time with 28 year old Catholic women who are short, overweight, and have dark hair. Sounds good to me.

Wow youre keeping stats? We should start making trading cards… Hand them out to potential counterparts. Im sure I could russell up some interesting stats.

Come to think of it, sex is a lot like baseball except the guy is always batting and the girl always on defense.

I don’t think you have a large enough sample to project that your statistics should hold true for the overall population.

VERDICT - Marital status doesn’t matter but I have stayed away from the married women pretty much, though one did have a boyfriend and I think another did as well as she got married a year or so later.

Muslim - 1 (maybe she was from a muslim area)
Christian (Catholic) - 1
Christian (Protestant) - 2
Jewish - 1
Pagan/New Age - 1 (one kinda leaned that way but don’t know for sure)

Doesn’t really matter for me, unless they are overtly religious since I am not. Never had any problems with them in this area.

Taller and average weight - 1 (don’t really remember weight but she was big boned)

I perfer women who are in shape, doesn’t mean skinny, but like to keep in some shape.

I loves em with dark hair. Though it doesn’t matter that much.

Most of mine have actaully been a year or two older then me, the only excpetions being the last couple. Probably because I’m getting a bit older, 29 now. Actually not concidering the current one they were all within 2 years of me.

So that means I need an average height/weight, dark haired woman between 27-31.

Ain’t that the truth, my friend!

Way back when I first came out, I tried to keep a count. And like you, I lost track early on. If I had to really come up with an of estimate of total sex partners, I would have to estimate the number of partners per year, then multiply by 30 years. The total number has a comma in it, but it hasn’t reached 5 digits.

I guess I really can’t do an accurate analysis like Badtz did. Which for me is not a bad thing.

First, I have to say that I am somewhat disturbed that the homosexual contingent that has weighed in so far has untold sexual partners. Don’t you realize how that plays into the homosexual stereotypes?
That said, here’s what I can conclude about myself:

Most were actually within 3-4 years of my age, with the exception of the last 3.
CONCLUSION (from the stats):
I like women with large breasts, and this means usually somewhat overweight. I also on average like women with dark hair and dark eyes and close to my age, and married. Religion plays a minor role.

ACTUAL PREFERENCES:
Yes, large breasts. But I’m a real sucker for a blonde with green eyes…that just really yanks my crank! Marital status - basically irrelevant. Religion - for the most part, a non-issue.

PERSONAL CONCLUSION:
I think for me, my statistics are more determined by opportunity rather than actual taste, but that’s not to say that I’m out there “making it” with just anything that wants to, either. For instance, the blonde/green combo has only happened for me once, mainly because I’ve only had opporunity one time with a blonde-haired, green-eyed woman. I’ll also say that there was something special about every one of these women, and admittedly, some more special than others (3 in particular).

Also, I think my personal conclusion may hold true for most others, as well, as opposed to the statistical evidence of their experiences. Just my $.02

Someone tell me if this is meaningful or just a statistical fluke:

I have never dated a blonde.

I have dated a number of brunettes (um … seven or eight?) but never had sex with any of them.

I have dated three redheads and had sex with each of them.

Ah, too small a sample, I suppose-but a bit eerie nonetheless.

No, I don’t see how that plays into a stereotype. I’m just one person who told the truth about my life in this thread. Other gay men may have had far different experiences than me.

I guess I should just stay out of threads where I might offend or disturb. Or I could lie. But I’ve never done that, and I not going to start now.
