Shame on those that refuse the vaccine

Infectionistas?

Covers two topics-breaks the K.I.S.S. rule.

Edit: Never mind.

And who blew it all to shit?

More importantly, who’s trying to change the subject now?

Primarily the “don’t trust the media or experts or scientists or anyone like that” people. They have a vested interest in blowing it all to shit, and getting folks to distrust experts, so they can fleece the rubes with bulllshit.

Me too.

OTOH, I’d have found it significantly less sketchy after 100 million shots, after a couple dozen other countries approved it, after it’s been shown to be safe and effective over and over again too many times, and by too many legitimate organizations to count.

I get hesitancy, I really truly do. What we have now goes well beyond hesitancy, it’s flat earth level denial of facts. People are worried about issues that are either impossible, or unheard of in the annals of medical history.

So, getting the message out through reputable sources did not work. Mandating responsible action will bring out armed conflict. Even the liars who get the disease and tell the rubes about it and how bad it is, ya know, before they die, does nothing.

What, pray tell, do YOU suggest?

As I already said, first and foremost, I suggest not doing things that are the opposite of helpful.

Beyond that, this is uncharted territory, so I don’t know, but this article outlines some of the sociology around “cooling out the mark” (helping victims of a con process the fact that they’ve been conned) and how it might be used to fight vaccine hesitance.

Part of it involves enlisting people they trust to process the sense of loss in being duped, and get them to admit their situation to others. It emphatically does not involve cackling about what a bunch of dipshits they are.

I just found out that my boyfriend’s best friend - male, 43, white, lives in LA, upper-middle-class income, asthmatic - legit, hand-to-god, believes that the vaccine is about “government control” and I guess also believes it contains the means to track him. Yes, he carries a cell phone.

I guess he listens to Steven Crowder and Alex Jones. He’s also a “9/11 was an inside job” and “Sandy Hook was an inside job” conspiracy theorist.

I can’t even wrap my head around this train of thought. It’s unbelievable. I am very glad I don’t have to spend time with this maroon.

He’s pretty sure he’ll just continue to work from home if his job requires vaccination. Not sure how he expects to keep his job when they start requiring travel again. Wonder how far up the ladder he’ll swing his dick to try to get his way. I don’t think he’ll get too far.

Boyfriend did get his jab in May. He doesn’t subscribe to the same theories as the best friend. That’d be the end of it for me if he did.

Some trains of thought are permanently derailed.

Dunno about you, but I’d be well and truly pissed if my employer insisted on having the worker bees go back to the commuting grind but gave an exemption for anti-vax dumbassery (as distinguished from legitimate medical issues).

Hopefully they aren’t coming to the Pit to get their covid vaccination info. That would also add to list of things on the dipshit side of the spectrum.

Suggesting not doing something is a little different from suggesting doing something. People are dying. ICU beds are scarce. Many that survive will have long term ill effects.

Part of it involves enlisting people they trust to process the sense of loss in being duped, and get them to admit their situation to others.

The people they trust are complicit in their disease and death. It does appear, does it not, that they would rather die than accept facts. Some of these people have denied COVID19 exists, literally, on their deathbed.

It appears my local bar is a crew of non-vaccinated fuckwads.

I learned last week that majority of employees have not gotten a vaccine. Mostly due to imbreded ideas about some god from their home state, one who doesn’t feel they’re a threat to people like me who have underlying conditions (diabetes, HBP) and another who HAD Covid, got better and still has no vaccine

I think convincing people to have a physical to see if there’s long term effects is pointless.

Many of the employees are friends or acquaintances. Hung out before pandemic. And now…

They’re fucking plague rats. Fucking irresponsible. I have no clue from where they’re all deciding they’re okay without a vaccine.

One of their employees has been out with Covid for 4 weeks. Clue? Anyone?

Got an email today. Asking where I’ve been for a week. Asking if I’m sick or have Covid. I’d love to answer, but I’m not. I’m just not going back. (Even though they have a Golden Tee game)

Let them create rumor as to why Locrian isn’t around. Let them stew. Let them get infected and let them suffer. Let them lose work. Let them lose wages. Let them fuck themselves over a trillion times. These are a perfect example of completely retarded shitheads.

Hope they end up in a freezer truck.

I like to call them disease ridden plague monkeys, but that’s just me.

Its time for my regularly scheduled boob squishing, and I fully plan to request a vaccinated boob squisher. This isn’t urgent, so I will feel free to refuse to allow anti-vaxer to be that close to my for that long. I’m more than willing to reschedule if needed.

Freezer trucks might be part of the problem, inasmuch as they put the corpses out of sight (and therefore out of mind).

Observation: much of the rhetoric from this crowd suggests that, in the absence of corpses on their front lawns, they feel justified in denying that the risk exists (either at all, or to a degree that they need to do anything to mitigate it).

Suggestion: Instead of putting corpses into freezer trucks, PUT THEM ON THE FRONT LAWNS OF KNOWN RISK-DENIERS!

You should tell them exactly why you aren’t coming back. There is a smidgen of truth in the phrase “Silence is consent”.

I haven’t checked–such is my confidence in my fellows on the left–but let me add my voice to what I’m absolutely sure is a resounding chorus of people who, while they agree the vaccine is important, think this is a deplorable way to express your frustration.

Oh, dear, I’ve just checked
