I (occasionally) play golf video games, even though I’m a horrendous golfer IRL. I find something very soothing about it. I used to play Hot Shots for the PS ONE a lot. Like, crazy amounts. I had a few PC golf games I never quite got into, and tiger woods for the DS got more play time than hot shots for the PSP.
I own every single system. But I only want to get a golf game for one.
In particular, I was looking at the latest TW installment for my iPad 2. The price is cheaper than a console game, or a handheld one. The screenshots look nice, but they looked nice on NHL 2k11, and sega made an AWFUL, AWFUL game. Furthermore, I’m curious about the game play. Am I tapping the screen, or making some sort of awkward swiping motion?
Any people here who like golf games? Have you tried the iPad one? Is there a better one for my 3DS, maybe?
Cheapest version, and it’s the only device (besides my blackberry), that’s going to be with me 99% of the time. I’m open to any version, really, but I just got iPad SimCity for 99 cents, and the novelty of my latest gadget is still very much alive!
Don’t get it for the Wii unless you actually know how to golf. The game is incredibly precise and I couldn’t even pass the tutorial because the controls are so strict. I am very much used to Wii Sports Golf in which you can hold the controller at any angle and don’t actually have to be standing up to play. No fun at all on the Wii.
Yeah, I have Super Swing Golf for the wii, and the result was a big “meh.” I don’t want something crazy precise, either! I’ve still yet to recapture the magic of Hot Shots…
