Signs of the End #694: Miley says something right.

And the Christians are up in arms over it.

It’s not John Lennon, but hey. It’s nice to see the younger generation keeping up the traditions of rock.

Good for her.

I’d like a cite for that Einstein quote though. I have a hard time believing he ever talked like a modern day teenager. Also, a Christian he was not.

I’m pretty sure “lame” in the quote is supposed to mean the physical handicap, not “lame” as in valley-girl speak. Hence the juxtaposition with “blind”.

dawhat?

I don’t know how to pull the curtain back and break this to you silenus, but some time ago Miley revealed that contrary to what she professes in the lyrics to her hit song Party in the USA, she has never actually heard a Jay-Z song and doesn’t even like any of this shit. In fact her whole public personal and everything she does is a ploy to increase sales of her children’s clothing line (available exclusively at Walmart, IIRC).

I’m sorry, man.

Google is your friend.

Just goes to show how out-of-touch I am.

I’ve not only barely heard of Miley Cyrus, but, until now, had no idea there was such a thing as a “tweet hat”.

That’s the one with the Angry Bird on it, right?

I’m not entirely convinced that she read the entire quote. If she did and she’s actually familiar with Krauss, then good for her.

I’m not entirely convinced she could read the entire quote.

Yep.

Is it? I thought maybe it was something a twitterpated person might wear.

I knew I was going to regret posting that.

This is just pure speculation on my part, but I believe ol’ Albert only said he believed in God due to social pressure at the time. Think about it, he was basically the first “Science guy” that ever achieved such popularity.. (Still living that is) In that day and age for him to say: “Yeah, that whole God thing is bull shit.” would NOT have been received well to say the least.

+1

“Excuse me… but why does God need a Twitter account?”

…or nosey busy-bodies to tattle on people for holding different beliefs? Nice to know the Kingdom of Heaven needs a Rat Patrol…

How long before the public burnings of Miley Cyrus CDs and Hannah Montana DVDs begin?

Miley Cyrus has actually been growing into a pretty cool person, IMO. She’s only 19, so she still is gonna do things that are juvenile (like her repeated comments on being SUCH a, like, stoner. Heh), but she’s been vocal in her support of views that many people think are incompatible with her religion. She’s also supported gay rights and marriage equality, and had some good responses to bigots who were pissed off:
