Single Thirtysomethings: Let's flirt!

Just passing by, why?

[homer]Mmmmm…opinionated women…[/homer]

Well, THAT cheesecake went fast! Who knew that fingerfeeding cheesecake could be so…erm…erotic?

What am I opinionated about these days? The joke called “No Children Left Behind”, the decimation of wefare system initiated by Clinton now being brought completely to it’s knees by state governments, immenent domain, and whether TP should be rolled under or over

I agree wholeheartedly… if you say the tp should go over I am firmly in agreement! I also staunchly advocate rolling under should you so desire… as far as children being left behind… some of 'em WANT to be left behind… but enough of that stuff… let’s talk about YOU!

Hey I went to the gym and everyone ate the cheesecake! Anyone got a diet coke?

I think we can find you a frosty beverage, mipiace… I see you list your occupation as eating donuts… how long HAVE you been in law enforcement?

hands mipiace a diet coke

What would you like to know about me, verb? The same ol’ same ol’ ? (Favorite color: dark green. Favorite music: Anything but opera. Favorite movie: Too many, but Pulp Fiction holds a place in my heart)

LOL - no, no, probably the last thing I would be likely to do would be law enforcement…I’d forgotten about eating donuts…perhaps I should change it to eating cheesecake.

Thanks, Miss Take - a girl can work up a powerful thirst around here!

Always remember, MissTake… Opera is not as bad as it sounds! What a great movie! What was your favorite scene?
mipiace, I sorta figured you weren’t an officer of the law… I just couldn’t resist the cheap chuckle!

oh, MissTake… don’t say the “bring out the gimp” scene… I can’t bear to even think of it!

I do appreciate some opera (Handel’s Messiah comes to mind)…
Favorite scene- when they’re cleaning the blood and brains out of the car while holding a benign conversation. The dichotomy amuses me.

Now let’s learn something about you- What on your bathroom counter?

a lot of that goes in Tarantino movies… characters acting like it is an everyday occurrance and the wierdest crap imaginable is going on…

I do not dig much opera myself… another cheap chuckle… (attempt anyway) I think, though, that Wagner gave opera most of it’s bad rep… not that Wagner is all bad… but that’s where the “large woman in a horny helmet” stereotype comes from…

HAH! don’t have one! just a little surround for the sink. ( I REALLY need some shelf-space in there…)

Opera isn’t my favorite…I like heavy metal better but…I do like Opera. Spent some time in Italy and even saw La Traviate at La Scala. But I liked the barefoot Operas in Verona at the Amphitheater better…very laidback…more my style and I could eat donuts there.

So if you don’t like opera, what kind of music do you like?

the barefoot operas sound like good times…

I, too, am a bit of a metal head… I am currently re-living my Iron Maiden phase… seem to be listening to a lot of Rush and Queen these days as well… who do you like?

Primarily blues and metal. And bluegrass (damn that “O Brother” CD!) In my CD player I have System of a Down, Sarah Vaughn, and Black Eyed Peas.
 I have been successful in indoctrinating my daughter into the world of Queen! She now lists Bohemian Rhapsody as one of the “best songs ever!” (This is the kid who thinks the sun rises and falls on Aaron Carter. It was a challenge, trust me)

I used to like old metal but like more metal rap these days. Kind of hodge podge really let’s see [quick browse of CDs at work] -
Papa Roach, Stone Sour, Audio Slave, Metallica (new one - St Anger), Staind,…but I like a lot of different kinds of music too.

Blues, reggae, latin…yeah barefoot operas were fun. Sitting in 2,000 year old open air theaters. No dressing up, Venders walking around selling Italian ice and wine…it was pretty cool.

So what do you like to do for fun?

Comes in

Looks around at all the happy flirters

Sighs

Sits in the corner, waiting for someone to notice what a catch he is

what do I do for fun? swimming is always big for me when it is warm enough… (water above 70 degrees is usually warm enough!) Hanging with friends, having an adult beverage or two and some stimulating conversation… a couple of buddys and I play various instruments, so getting together and making music is a good time… road trippin’ when I can get someone to tag along…
I like bluegrass too… especially some of the newer stuff… heard any Nickle Creek? Who’m I kiddin"? I don’t think there is a genre of music I can’t list at least one artist I like from… at least a song or two… music is a VERY important part of my life…
Grats, MissTake, on proper child-rearing. a strong foundation in the classics is necessary for a well-rounded young person…
