Six Degrees of Mumpers – a connectivity MMP

Yeah, kinda bleah, weather kinda bleah, tried new pain meds on SpaceDawg but not sure I like the effects, so yeah, bleah…

It’s gotta get better!

Hope the kitteh comes back, snowbunny, Siameses are so cute…

ETA: Huh, first on three–maybe something’s looking up! :stuck_out_tongue:

Good morning everyone. I’m vertical, I have coffee, and the sun is shining.

I hope those of you who are feeling under the weather feel better better soon.

I have some errands to run today, then I have to go to the Y for a workout. We took a vacation from the Y last week because Mr. Tater’s shoulder has really been giving him grief. Tonight, however, we plan to go because we’re both feeling guilty.

Unfortunately, tonight we’re supposed to have an HOA meeting. It’ll be the first one in about four years, so I should really go. Hmmm, I’m torn.

Not really, I hate those things. On the other hand, I don’t want people voting for stuff I don’t want. What to do, what to do? I’ll decide later.

We’re back…

What, nearly 3 hrs and no new posts? What a buncha slackers, doing stuff in the real world when you should be posting here for my entertainment… EEeesh.

PS - Welcome back, Soapy!

It’s been rainy off and on all day. No torrential downpours like we were promised, dangit!

I’m home with work to do but I don’t wanna do it. I think maybe I shall not and work extra hard tomorrow. Actually, IMO, it could all be done tomorrow without a whole lot of extra effort. So, maybe I’ll make me an adult beverage and go sit on the back porch for a bit, then make tacos for dindin.

Excellent idea! Sometimes I do so inspire myself!

Beans, Nat is seven months old this weekend.

Hi, Soapy!
Okay, I spent too much at Costco. I think I did. Next month we’re damn well upgrading to Executive membership.

Someone justify the 24-pack of chocolate bars to me.

I love Siamese cats. I lost a pretty flame point 10 years ago and I still miss her. She was so smart and she did tricks. My next cat will be Meezer, but one of the apple heads. I think the newer versions look like aliens.

I remember being shocked by the casual racism the last time I watched** Lady and the Tramp**. The world has changed quite a lot since them.

Rumor has it catering is going to be cut back to $6-$7/person. Breakfast, no problem. But lunch is almost always $12 and up. No one really drinks soda anymore, so I can cut that out entirely, that’ll save, oh, $20 out of a $700 order. I guess it will be sandwiches where there used to be hot lunch and ? where they used to get sandwiches. Hello, Subway and Pizza Hut! Yum.

I came home to the front door wide open. I’m pretty sure I heard **FCD ** close it when we left this morning, so SIL is the suspect. Or Taz - he’s a sneaky one.

I need to get grubby clothes on and slap some paint on the exterior basement door frame. Then I’ll take some pics and post them. SIL is at work, so it’s just my sweetie and me for supper. Wonder what I should make? Reservations??

Happy Tuesday!

A 24 pack of chocolate bars does not need to be justified.

(and no, the fact that I have a raging case of PMS munchies has no bearing on the above statement)

Right.
:goes and gets one, passes the rest around:

YES! Chocolate! I knew I liked this place.

I think I need to go on a mission tonight to find some green tea ice cream. Once you get a craving that awesome into your head there is no going back.

I’ve run a couple of my errands, but I’ll leave the rest for the next couple of days.

Next, I’m gonna wash my poor dirty rig. There’s lots of road dirt and bug splatters from our trip up the Washington coast.

Chocolate never needs to be justified. I want some too. I was eyeing some 80% cocoa dark chocolate, but I managed to resist it’s siren call…just barely.

I guess I should get going on my rig. It takes forever to wash.

Swampy is a Trekkie! Swampy is a Trekkie!

[/singsong voice]

I BEG your pardon?
Am back from registering #2 son for school. For those playing along at home, he has Mrs Washington. No idea who she is–all the 5th grade teachers are gone except one (from when my older kids went through). We rode our bikes there–good gas conservers that we are.

#1 son has his license! Today has been a busy one. He got it this morning.

AND Daughter has managed to pack ONE box. Winter things, and not one pair of mittens. <sigh> I guess 18 doesn’t really constitute grown up (yet).

I am both proud and embarrassed to announce that I have upped my geek cred on the dope.

Taters really! What a horrible thing to say about Rigs! :stuck_out_tongue:

Welcome back Soapy! Did the bears leave your stuff along? I told 'em to.

80% is practically health food! There’s no need to resist something with that little sugar… and that, generally, is satisfying after just a small piece.

I’m still not feeling so good so I’m taking tomorrow morning off. I have some stuff that needs to get done tomorrow so I’m not taking the whole day off (I could, but I’m so anal that the though of someone else doing this stuff will make me come in even if I’m not feeling very good.), but sleeping and relaxing a bit in should help.

Heh! I never even connected Rig with washing my rig. Of course you don’t take forever to wash…unless you’re spreading mulch. :stuck_out_tongue:

Aw, heck, if that’s the case, just throw her in the washer. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

I came home, looked up the driveway and wondered what the heck that was in one of the neighbors’ trees. It looked like someone had taken beige plastic bags and decorated the tree. Kind of a tacky garland on a deciduous tree.

Up close, I saw that they were actually some type of web. I took pictures, then trimmed off the branches and threw them in a garbage bag. Ick ick ick ick ick ick ick.

I’ve watered some and am now heading off to Whole Foods to obtain yogurt and maybe some bread. (I’m out for tomorrow’s lunch.) Had some crackers and cheese to hopefully forestall overbuying.

Perhaps I’ll cruise the chocolate aisle as well.

Back in a bit.

I miscounted my hours at Archivin’ work again. I told Boss Lady that English majors don’t do math. At least I can make up 15 of those hours by taking two weekend shifts.

I have a slight headache.

Home, dizzy, tired. I picked up my Advair and an ice cream cone on the way home from work(Life is too short, eat dessert first! ). Nelly and I had a pleasant stroll around the manor. 85 degrees Amurikin never felt so good.

Taters, I’d be happy to wash rigs for you.

Speaking of which, sounds like you won 2 out of 3, not bad, rigs!

LiLi, did you pick up TP at Costco?

Shadow, no more hot Lunch? Room 304 will be so quiet.

Hiya, jellybean! My parent live in Greenville, MS currently.
