Awww, thanks, Mizz Eleanor! She’s got a 5-acre farm, so the poo is parked far from the flowers. I’m sure they make their way to the blooms, but they don’t seem to be eating any of her foliage.
I enjoy photographing her stuff because she has such a variety. And so many perennials! I love that blackberry lily (the orange ones with the twisty buds). Now I have to find a spot in the dirt (as opposed to a pot) for one of the infants that’s sprouted from her plant. The lily pic with the numerous blooms just screams summer to me. I just may make that the cover photo!! I do see some problems with some of the shots (shadows, etc.) so I may have to take some more before summer rolls out of town.

Oh, that sucks, doggio.
Back from being out with Driving Husband. We got Nat some new sleepers and stopped at the midwife clinic and saw Melinda, Nat’s primary midwife. She hasn’t seen him since he was six weeks old. She’s lovely. I hope we get her next time.
Dunno about QD and Mr. Lissar. They’ve been progressively driving each other more crazy for a couple of years now. Sigh.
I’m not dead - I just haven’t been on here for like a month because there were a few days where I didn’t get on, then I was busy working 3 weeks in a row with one day off in the middle, then on my next day off, I moved, and then I was busy in the new place of course, but today is my first REAL DAY OFF in some time. Of course, we never have a REAL DAY OFF because I’m doing laundry today anyway, but at least I’m not at work or entertaining visitors and going to big bear parties and such.
For those of you keeping track, I’m now living in Alexander, AR - right outside Little Rock. I’ll be going to school at UALR to get another bachelor’s degree - chemistry this time, and I transferred Wal-Marts. I’m living with a bear couple that I originally met on manhunt. (Previous sentence will be understood by at least a couple people in this thread).
ANYWAY - I may have the day off but I’m NOT going to go through and catch up on a month’s worth of MMPs, so I hope everyone’s doing alright!
I think the problem is that QD doesn’t listen well, interrupts a lot, and tends to be bossy, and Mr. Lissar hates all those things, and tends to explode the fifteenth time she does something he’s told her not to.
Yesterday she started talking about how we could go to a summer camp that runs next week. We were thinking of going, but it looked like we’d be in a splintery cabin with no water and huge gaps in the floorboards. We elected not to, and cancelled Mr. Lissar’s booked vacation.
We’d talked about just me and Nat going, but I don’t really want to without Mr. Lissar.
QD started talking about ways we could still go.
Mr. Lissar said he didn’t want to talk about it, we’re not going this year.
She got frustrated, because she wanted to finish. She kept talking.
Mr. LIssar told her again that he didn’t want to talk about it. Please stop.
But but but there were all these ways that Nat and Lissla could still go and…
Please stop.
Keeps talking.
Mr. Lissar leaves.
She tends to have a bad case of foot-in-mouth, and it’s gotten to the point where Mr. Lissar can feel himself getting prickly as soon as she enters, which is unfair, but I can see his point. A couple of weeks ago she congratulated him on washing some dishes. She tries to rearrange all our stuff, which is sometimes cute, and sometimes a huge pain in the butt. I think the main problem is that she doesn’t stop when asked, and Mr. Lissar feels that’s disrespectful and obnoxious.
Sigh.
Our mail servers are having “potential” outages. It’s amazing how little work can be done without email. I finally trudged down to IT and picked up a flash drive, so at least we can transfer files within our group. Everything else works, so far. But I need email to do, well, just about everything.
In other news, the new Avon catalog has these eye thingys, with eye shadow on a piece of paper and you just press it on to your eyelid and voila! A smoky eye. For some reason, these disturb me more than anything else in the catalog. Press On Eyes!
Sigh, still waiting on the daughter to get her poop in a group so we can head down to the University. I wish she’d hurry the hell up. I’ve been ready for hours.
I’m back after my super-lazy morning off. I still feel like I could use another nap, but otherwise, it’s a good day.
Love the flowers, Kal. I made a flower-picture calendar for my family for Christmas too, but it was made up of pictures from the arboretum. Our little patio can’t support a calendar’s worth of flowers! The pics are all of peonies (I had a really hard time deciding between the peonies and the lilies, but the peonies are some of my favorites so they won out in the end.) in different colors and shapes and sizes and are just beautiful.
Um… I think there was more I wanted to comment on, but the tiredness is manifesting itself in an inability to concentrate (It makes work fun.) so I don’t remember what I read 30 seconds ago!
What the hell? The puter didn’t recognize the word secateurs and asked if I meant sectors–I said no. When does it start to answer my email as well?
Um, no nice way to say this, Lisslar, but if I were Mr Lisslar, I’d have killed her and hidden the body long since. But then, I can’t stand people moving my stuff and I don’t like people who have to talk a topic to death. Ok, to be more specific, I hate people…
