How does that crow taste? Karma’s a bitch, isn’t it?
Oops didn’t mean to post yet.
Just like the old days, huh?
I realize I may be projecting, but a comeback like this could signify this team turning the corner.
Well, the Skins caught the Boys napping. Sucks for me. Good job, Skins, I guess.
Once the Skins scored that first TD, I had an ugly feeling the Skins would win by 1. Dallas had already let up off their throats and now they paid the price.
You can’t let up on a 13 point lead at the top of the 4th Quarter. When will they learn?
The Redskins won!
Yay!
(Not a football fan, but a Washingtonian from way back…)
I held my good-luck-charm (that is, my sleeping eleven-month-old daughter) throughout the entire game…
…and my beloved Redskins WON!
Now, it’s got to be a tradition.
When she gets to be thirteen, she’s gonna HATE it.
Bite it, Dallas! Bite it, Airman Doors!
REDSKINS WIN!!!
So why exactly did the Cowboys cut Billy Cundiff again?
If anyone is offended by my viscereality, in my defense I thought this thread was in the Pit.
What do I care? Your team is a doormat, it has been for years, and it will be for the foreseeable future. I’m glad that you’re glad, because there will be little joy in DC this year.
Congratulations Skins fans. Parity in every rivalry just makes for better, more anticipated games in the future.
'Till we meet again.
Even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut. I don’t like the Cowboys, but I’ve lived in the Washington area, and I’ve worked there for 30 years… I despise the Redskins.
There’s the door, you know how to use it…
Meh.
I wasted the evening watching the other ugly mess on ABC. By the time that farce* ended I just didn’t have the energy to watch any more football, so Skins at Boys got switched off. I’m sort of glad that the Skins took it, because somebody had to win and I’m really tired of listening to sportscasters stroking Parcells. In an ideal world Texas Stadium would have fallen down and taken both teams and all their fans with it. All in all, though, I was really sick of football by midnight.
- Spoken as a Giants fan. Damn, but that was ugly.
W00t! I’m a tired but happy ‘Skins fan today. I’m offering Bandwagon memberships to my disenchanted Raven-lovin’ coworkers. And a few of them are considering it.
All I can say is, it was worth the wait.
A Monday Night game.
Stupid Ring of Fame with the 3 superstar bozos.
No win in Dallas for 9 years.
To come back and win by 2 TD’s in the 4th with Gibbs as the coach.
PRICELESS.
I think I actually got choked up seeing the headline on the Post today.
I turned the game off sometime in the middle of the third quarter after Brunnell threw an interception. I then took some NyQuil and went to bed. My brother called me after the game to tell me the Redskins had won. I thought he was playing a practical joke on me.
Now I can look at the Cowboys fan in the office next to me and say, “BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!”
As I Giant fan I agree. Seeing Cowboys and the ultimate traitor lose in such heart wrenching fashion however, worked for me.
Hark! Praise the almighty “Football God”! You have answered my prayers in the most dramatic fashion!
Down 13-0 late in the 4th quarter. The offense looks inept and can’t move the ball. Roy Williams and Demarcus Ware are blowing people up left and right.
And then…
…A glorious light shines down from the heavens on old bag-o-bones Brunell. A 25-yard scramble on 3rd and 27. A 4th and 2 conversion. A perfect bomb to Moss with a man in his face.
Defense makes a crucial stop. Two plays later, a 70-yard bomb to Moss, again, to take the lead. Cowboys get a big return from their speedy local hero. They only have move the ball 20 or so yards to get in FG range. Stuff. Stuff. BAM! Freak-of-nature Sean Taylor crushes Glenn and jars the ball loose. 4th down. Doink! Ball game!
A game for the ages!
Time to start up the Bandwagon folks!
My bandwagon has been actively recruiting since last week. I’m doing OK on the toasters but I’m running dangerously low on the game worn Redskinette thongs. There was this one time, in training camp…
