Just back from signing all the papers for our HELOC. It was nearly 70° in Dahlgren!! Weird weather, indeed.
**sari **- I hope your plumbing issues aren’t too awful, but it could be as simple as a clogged vent or a slow sewer line. Fingers crossed for a cheap fix.
I’ve thought about her difficulty.
They had me moving on a walker the afternoon of the surgery, and sent me home the second day on crutches. Except for having a booster toilet seat (they don’t want your hips at too shallow an angle until it is healed) I don’t see why she couldn’t ride home in a car. I was driven home in a car, after all.
The temperature in central AR has been on the 40s, but a stiff wind gives a wind chill that is darn cold. A cat is complaining. She has fresh food and fresh litter, I believe that she is complaining because there is nothing to complain about.
I hope your sister gets things sorted and makes it home soon, Cupcakes.
I can’t remember what else is going on with y’all, but I hope it gets fixed, healed, paid off soon.
I’m annoyed. The deli around the corner and down the street has changed hands. I went over there this afternoon to get one of their terrific fish sandwiches for lunch. They didn’t have any and seemed surprised that anyone would ask for one. I ended up paying $9.95 for a sandwich I could have gotten from Subway for $5.00. If I had known it was such a small sandwich beforehand, I would have walked out.
We stopped at costco last week and got a cookbook to go with our new Instant Pot. Imma make General Tso’s chickie outa the cook book tonight. Wish me luck.
george, do you pick up Nashville stations? I went to over the air and streaming years ago and haven’t looked back. Of course, I don’t watch a lot of live sports.
Moooooooom, is RoxStar cutting teeth?
Happy birthday nut!
I’m sleepy. Last night, around midnight, Nelson took a notion to play. Not quiet play by himself play, but get in my face with a toy, growl and want me to throw it play. Kept me up like that for two hours, the brat.
I bugged out of irk a little after one today, got groceries, came home in the rain and walked the dog. Bojangles fixed supper.
Well, you two wanted pets, so you have to live with them and their foibles…
Evening all.
Clothes have been dried and put in their proper places, as have the dishes. Dinner has been consumed and well as a late night snack. 51F heading for the high 30’s tonight with rain but the house is comfortable.
The pain in my side is still a concern. It can go for hours and I feel nothing, but I just had a series of sneezes and it gave me a shot of pain each time. Still planning to visit my brother next week, but think I’ll schedule a Dr.'s appointment when I get back if there is no change.
Red–I can’t pick up any Nashville stations in my location. I could probably get some of them if I lived in Fayetteville or Winchester, though. Odd thing is that 60 years ago we could pick up WSM (650 KHz) on a 1940s era radio console about 75 miles West of here, on nothing but the internal “loop” antenna.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out with light rain which I think is endin’ with a predicted high of 74 and cloudy for the day. Remember the stuff I was goin’ to do yestiddy? Didn’t happen. I got a call from the folks who installed the floor in the Parish hall just before I was goin’ to leave and was asked if we could meet over at the church house this mornin’ so they could take a look. The problem is some discoloration in a couple of spots, btw. So I agreed. I saw no sense in makin’ two trips so will do everything I need to do this mornin’. Plus also both of us want to get haircuts, as in need haircuts real bad, so OYKW will tag along with me to the church house. A McBrekkie shall also be consumed. I have no idea why I did not post again yestiddy. I just didn’t.
CupCakes hope sis is doin’ better today.
George I got rid of Mediacom a few years back. Their internet service was not all that great here at da cave. I now have DirectTV and internet bundled together. Ended up a little cheaper than Mediacom and I have had very little trouble. Did have trouble with the router and a tech came out, took a look, said somebody did a dumb job settin’ it all up, fixed it and left me with a super duper router. Any service provider can be a pain but for the most part I am happy with AT&T.
Now I need more caffeine. Purtification must also commence along with the donnin’ of appropriate goin’ about the public attire. OYKW will need to be roused outta bed in a bit as well.
I’m not sure what happened, but I slept thru the night - either the baby didn’t cry or I was too tired to hear her. Either way, yay for rest!
**red **- we think she might be teething, what with all the drool and the chewing on everything (like my shoes) but we thought that a couple of months back, and we were wrong. Time will tell.
Last night she took TWO STEPS unassisted. But it was a one shot fluke, I guess, because after that, she didn’t/wouldn’t. But we’re getting there. Plus yesterday, she was 10 months old - where did the time go???
Today is lunch with some of my fambly, meeting halfway, so neither of us has an obscene drive. All the nasty weather is staying south of us - huzzah! I’m taking a bag of knitted and crocheted stuff to exchange for several bags of yarn to make more knitted/crocheted stuff. The cycle continues!
When we get back, I hope to do some laundry. That should pretty much sum up my day.
Morning all. Bladder was my alarm clock today, got me up at 6:30am, I foresee nappage in my future. Need to do a little housework and check a couple things on-line, but otherwise will catch up on my reading.
Annndddd…that’s all I got for Sattiday morn. All y’all enjoy the day.
george, it sounds like you’re east of Huntsville. You may be able to pick up the Ion suite of stations and CW from Cookeville, TN. (channel 28+ for Ion and 35 for CW) over the air. I have an indoor antenna that I get CBS, ABC, Fox, Ion, CW and a host of other channels (~30 channels) and stream other stuff I want to watch. NBC and PBS broadcast over the top of my area ( I couldn’t even get them living four miles from the stations because they broadcast from the top of Knob Hill in Nashville), but you may be far enough and at a higher elevation to pick them up. Like swampy, I use AT&T for wifi that covers my streaming needs.
Moooooom, my mother said that I grabbed one of her brush rollers (remember them? ) to gnaw on when I was teething. She ended up sanitizing it and letting me go to town with it.
Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, puppy crate cleaned and a load of towels in the wash. Once KP is done, I’ll putter around the studio for a bit, then head to Nashville to help package diapers. My heathen group does a volunteer project every month and this is one that is dear to my heart. https://www.nashvillediaperconnection.org/ Diapers are sometimes out of reach for some low income families and the donations to this organization free up money in the budget for other necessities. :steps off soapbox:
Up and caffeinated. Played with the puppeh, talked to one kiddo (proof of life!), and am fooling around on the intertoobs.
I’m not sure I’ve mentioned that we’re moving again… No, we’re not unpacked from moving a few months ago. The decision has been taken that since my daughter has balance and vertigo issues stemming from her injuries that a one story home is a better choice. I think we’re losing money on this one…
