So I guess "Cuck" is the new "I've outed myself as brainless" word?

This.

It’s a form of emasculation - if you can’t keep your woman home (caveman much…?), you’ve failed as a man (machismo, much?). You might as well be an Eunuch. And clearly, eunuchs have nothing positive to contribute to society or political disccourse.

I’ve heard it used descriptively/dismissively by liberals, in the context of mocking a weak and ineffectual person with no self-esteem.
IOW, it’s left the “Alt-Right” corral and is in the wild.

I’ve never seen or heard of anyone who uses the word cuck that would claim to be a liberal. By all accounts, the word originated among angry white male Trump supporters - not a crowd noted for espousing liberal causes.

Sounds like a case of “These right wingers are such assholes that they’re making the rest of us look bad. Let’s claim they’re liberals.”

I agree with you. Not just racist, but traitorous, acting against the interests of white people.

I’ve seen that. Old hardliners will argue that the new nationalists come from the left.

Indeed. Steve Bannon reportedly calls Jared Kushner a “cuck” behind his back. Cite.

Fine class of people we have in the White House these days. At least Bannon seems to have fallen out of Trump’s favor for the time being. I have to admit, though: I’m worried that if he loses his role in the White House, Bannon might start drinking and stop taking care of himself. I’d hate to see him fall from his pedestal as a white alpha male.

It’s a dumb word no matter who uses it, but I’ve only seen the word used fairly limitedly (and I’d venture to guess that the majority of people I know have no idea what it means) and never outside the context of conservatives mocking/criticising other conservatives, much in the way RINO is used, but more extreme.

I find being called a cuck laughably pathetic for many reasons.

But really, it means the user is the mental equivalent of the Taliban.

You know you have failed at life if you or a dear friend drops that into an actual conversation. Anyone can run into that bullshit online, but I’ve never heard it used in an actual out loud voice transmission. I guess I’m lucky.

No, cuck is a term used against liberals by conservatives. But these particular conservatives started fighting with other conservatives so they had to invent a second word - cuckservative - to insult those other conservatives.

My first exposure was two years ago when my fourth grader said he’d been called that at school. I said “Are you sure it wasn’t ‘cock’?” He was sure. All i could do was shake my head.

Cuck is a polite way of calling a white person a race traitor. Jeb Bush isn’t a cuck just because he’s a dorky guy, though that helps, but because he’s married to a Latina and favors reasonable immigration reforms. As far as the alt-reich is concerned if you don’t support building a wall, throwing out all the Mexicans, and taking civil rights away from black people then you support white genocide and white women being raped. This is typical.

The psychology of this reveals a lot about the fears and anxieties of these men, as it plays on their worry that black and Hispanic men are more alpha and manly than whites and that white women will prefer them. These men also seem to watch a lot of internet porn which plays into stereotypes of black men having giant penises and ravishing white women while their emasculated white partner watches. They can’t separate reality and fantasy.

I recall during the election leftypol types tried to reverse it and call non-rich people who support the business elite “class cucks,” but it never caught on.

Does not necessarily apply to people that have heard it spoken from middle-school kids.

That’s not the primary usage of it, though. It’s used to refer to a man who isn’t manly enough (and therefore his woman has to get sex from real, manly men). I’m sure the usage has spread out, because the people who use the word tend to be insult-slingers instead of word mavens. But that’s the primary meaning of it.

Sigh… yes, it is.

As the Outfield put it aptly, “Just cause you’re right, it don’t mean I’m wrong.”

When an alt-right type uses the phrase “cuck,” it’s a pretty safe bet he’s not addressing a liberal Democrat. He’s addressing a conservative Republican who ISN’T embracing white nationalism.

Chuck Schumer doesn’t get called a cuck. Neither does Bernie Sanders or Dick Durbin or Jerry Brown. That’s an insulting phrase for us Republicans who don’t hate blacks and foreigners enough.

Specificic example I heard yesterday: the Soundcloud podcast linked yesterday in the IMHO “Scott Adams climate denier” thread. NOT conservatives on that podcast. Nice try at the ‘no true scottsman.’

Displacement? Or denial?

It’s a political show and they’re liberal. If they are referring to other liberals being cucks then we have equilibrium, but I doubt it.

I’m not talking about equilibrium, I’m noting that the phrase is in wild.

Having been called a cuck countless times by alt-right/new fascists, I disagree.

The fact that ‘cuckservative’ doesn’t make even half an ounce of sense unless ‘cuck’ is an already existing term used for people who aren’t conservative should be all the evidence one needs to realize it’s not the original term.

As far as the alt-reich is concerned liberals and egalitarians are cucks by definition. They think Europe is one giant emasculated cuck continent because the men let Muslims and Africans have sex with their women.

I rarely if ever saw anyone called a cuck before the Trump campaign. It would’ve sounded archaic to me, like calling a woman a strumpet. That’s when the Google trend for the word exploded, and its revival came from people obsessed with racial purity and the Republican establishment selling out white people by being pro-immigrant. I wouldn’t assume everyone who uses it is necessarily a white nationalist. It can mean a weak or ineffectual beta male, as you say. Just like how people can call a man a fag and not necessarily be homophobic. But the racial angle is why cuck regained its popularity, at least from what I observed from reading right wing forums.
