ETA - but no lionesses, that’s just embarrassing. 
See, I’ve always been the dumper, but by the time I actually got to the point of breaking up with the person, I had already gone through the “what could I have done different” thinking and the grieving for the end of the relationship, etc.
OTOH, I stayed in my previous relationships a lot longer than was good for me.
