Ok, so just as I was closing in on having all the upgrades and achievments (except for the riduculous ones like 400 clickers and octillion cookies), those jackholes at Cookie Clicker International Life Wasters go and release version 2 which adds a whole lot more shit for me to collect. Dicks. At least it didn’t destroy my previous doings. Tho if it had, I may have called it a day on this so called “game”. If it so can be called.

Well, production levels also seem to have shot way up. I haven’t figured out the new prestige system yet, but it seems like the cookie multipliers now are true multipliers rather than additive. My base production was around 4.5 quadrillion CpS before. After updating and buying all the upgrades I could afford, I’m now at a base of 225 quadrillion CpS, and that’s rising quickly as I buy the “new” buildings (which are actually the old top 3 that got bumped up).
But each only doubles your production, right? At a point in the game where you need to advance your production x1000 multiple times.
Yeah, before I refreshed to v2 I was at like 2ish quadrillion Cps, now at 200ish.
Not sure, but that seems a safe bet.
It’s hard to say yet how balance is affected with this new version now that the way multipliers work has changed and prestige uses a completely reworked system, as well as lots of other number tweaks.
hmmmm…just had my first frenzy click frenzy combo on v2. Went from 2 sextillion to 43 sextillion. And in doing so, more than tripled my all time baked…
Tips:
If you’re starting from a built-up save so you can afford prestige upgrades, don’t buy more than 100 of any building until after you’ve trained up your dragon. Most training levels cost 100 of a building, which is a lot cheaper to replace if you have few than if you have many.
Changing the dragon’s aura costs 1 of your current most-expensive building. Again, buy when you only have a small number.
The Golden Switch’s cost depends on your current production rate, which means that it gets cheaper when you’re in a clot, and more expensive when in a frenzy. So try to wait for a clot to buy it if you can.
Which is the best dragon aura? I tried the “Dragon Harvest” one which sucked, and now I have “Dragonflight” but I’ve yet to actually trigger a dragonflight off a golden cookie. Whatever that does.
what’s all this about dragons?
You need to reset your game (now called “ascending”). There’s a whole bunch of new perma-upgrades you can buy with heavenly chips before you start the next round, and one of them is called “How to Bake Your Dragon” which unlocks a “crumbly egg” that gives you the dragon companion.
And I just figured out what the Dragonflight aura does: x1111 clicking power (for me, lasted 20 seconds - affected by the various golden cookie upgrades including the new prestige ones). Seems to be pretty rare though. Possibly even rarer than the x777 click frenzy.
Refreshed it all. Now I’m rebuilding my last three buildings up to 200 buildings per group. What is this about dragons and challenges? Also, are there any new cookies or changes in the seasons that would make me consider revisiting them?
The only challenge mode available is resetting with all of your prestige stuff temporarily disabled. The only reason to do this is that some achievements are only available in that mode, but so far as I know, they’re all achievements that were already available before the update, so if you wanted them, you probably already have them.
You definitely want all the cookie upgrades from all seasons. Like the non-seasonal cookie upgrades, they give hard multipliers now rather than the legacy additive multipliers (that barely did anything).
So here are all the dragon auras. After getting Radiant Appetite, I have 1.324 quintillion CpS unmodified. I definitely won’t go for the secondary aura this playthrough, as 200 of every building is a very steep cost. Debating about the dragon cookie that costs 50 of every building, as I didn’t plan for it so didn’t buy buildings optimally (probably better to wait until next ascension to go for it, and just get as many prestige levels as I can right now).
My goodness. Cookie clicker was starting to crash on me almost every day, and I thought my run with it was over. But this new upgrade seems to run smooth as silk, and without having any idea what is going on yet, buying just 5 buildings, my production has skyrocketed up over 1 quintillion cps. This is going to be nuts. Looks like 400 cursors is coming within reach…

It only ran smoothly for about a minute, then it became hiccuppy again, on the lowest settings, and I have a fast computer. It is better than before, but how do I fix this?
I’m over 8 quintillion cps and there is no end in sight. Production is over 10x what it was before the upgrade. And the reset gave me 206 portals, the most expensive of which costs over 3.5 septillion. I bet I could sell a few of those and really get baking!
Are you running it in Firefox? When I scanned the forums it seemed the people having problems with slowness were. I run it in Chrome and have never had an issue running it on max settings.
