Just got Kitten Experts! annnnnd now what? I guess I should go for 500 cursors or 250 of everything…
250 is the last time you’ll get a multiplier bonus for non-cursor buildings, but the achievement is for 300 of everything.
Not heard of this one before, but after about 350 cookies, I gave up.
Well not exactly, the highest “everything” (at once) achievement is 250 of everything (Bicentennial and a Half). But since each individual building has an achievement for 300, you do eventually need to get 300 of each building though not necessarily all at the same time.
I got Kitten Experts (tempting to type that as Kitten Sexperts) recently as well and I’m going for 250 of everything as the next run which will also unlock the 250 prisms for another nice perma-upgrade.
The catch with 250 prisms is that you can’t really stretch to reach it, like you can with the other buildings. Any other building, you can sell off all of your prisms at the end of a run to free up cash to buy more of that building. With prisms, though, even selling off everything else will only buy you about two more prisms beyond what you’d have anyway.
Yeah, I mean it’s the next “long run” I’m planning but will probably be more ascensions before I actually go for it. I think the cost is around 50 nonillion? Currently sitting at 1.75 million prestige levels / ~6 nonillion CBAT / ~5 septillion CpS, so I have a ways to go still.
And the goal is also to get 250 of everything anyway, so selling off other buildings wouldn’t be a strategy in this case.
Way, way overthinking this…(I’m still playing the old version)
I’m going to sell everything, buy the Chocolate Egg and reset. BUT, I currently have 170 AMCs. Would it be better to not sell them, buy the egg and then buy another 30 to get the achievement? I guess the question is how long would I have to play for the gain in milk to offset
the loss of 2.5% of the cost of those 170 AMCs?
It’s always worth it to get an achievement before resetting, if you can actually get there (if not sure just export your save first). But the real question is why are you still playing the old version? There’s so much more fun new stuff to get and all the progress you’re making now will be blown out of the water in a matter of minutes once your production starts going up by several orders of magnitude, which it will.
Edited for reality.
Well, for my own OCD definition of fun.
With the dragon auras, it’s actually better to sell off a building you’re trying to get to an achievement threshold. The Earth Shatterer aura lets you sell back buildings for 85%… but that’s 85% of the price of the next one, not 85% of the price of the last one. Which means that each building sells back for 0.85*1.15 = 97.75% of the price you paid to buy it. Chocolate Egg, meanwhile, gives you 5% of the amount you currently have in the bank. So if you sell off all of, say, your antimatter condensers, then buy the Chocolate Egg, then buy back the same number of ACs, you’ll have extra cash left over.
One caveat: I don’t think this actually works for prisms, because you lose a prism to change the dragon aura. Unless you run long-term with Earth Shatterer active, in preparation for this moment, but that’s almost certainly not worth the opportunity cost.
You answered your own question…
I had taken so much time building up to having Kitten Managers and almost all the achievements that I didn’t want to have it all be blown out of the water in a matter of minutes. So I am taking a couple “victory laps”. I think the next reset will be the last, unless maybe 200 Prisms somehow seems doable.
If you’re close to 200 prisms, it might be worth staying in the old version to get that. In the new version, it’s much harder to get 200 prisms, since there are three new buildings added below them, but if you already have it and buy the corresponding upgrade, you can put it into a permanent upgrade slot immediately on switching versions and ascending.
Yeah, stick around for the 200 prisms, might as well.
Also, buy an unreasonable number of portals or time machines before you upgrade. I had 206 portals, could sell the first one for something like 3.5 septillion cookies. Had the number been around 225+, I could have sold off the extras for a truly ridiculous sum of cookies and gone nuts buying up the more valuable buildings.
Has anybody completed the dragon’s training?
I have, as I presume has anyone else who’s gotten Bicentennial after the update. The 200 of every building one is the last step.
I’ve been using Dragonflight as my second aura: It’s approximately as valuable as a Click Frenzy, but occurs more often.
I know, I’m using Dragonflight as my first aura, as I have not finished the training and gotten a second aura.
But for me, a clicking frenzy with a regular frenzy occurs more often, and that is more valuable than Dragonflight.
Yeah, it’s pretty easy to do every run as a matter of course once you get to a certain point since replenishing 200 of every building only costs something like 15 octillion. Agree that Dragonflight is good for active play as a 2nd aura, but if you are mostly letting it run passively then go for Breath of Milk (I tested it against Dragon God, but I got more from milk, with 940% milk and about 2.3 million prestige. I’m not sure if there’s a certain prestige point where Dragon God becomes better).
I’m now pretty close to 250 of everything (@245 prisms). Getting the last 5 prisms is still going to take another day or two, but it’s not as bad as I thought before (it’s something like 15-20 nonillion total for everything).
Also your primary aura should be Radiant Appetite. As nice as the combos are, the permanent boost is much better. Unless you’re actively playing a LOT and NOT letting it run for long periods (such as overnight. Personally I let my laptop run it 24/7 with the screen off for power saving). And even then you still get the demon/angel benefits which are going to be impacted by the aura.
I have no angel/demon as yet (or don’t get how that works). I got 200 of everything before the new version, and was close to getting the 400 cursor, but now I’m back to trying to get 200, 250, and 300 of all buildings. I had breath of milk at the beginning, but switched it to Dragonflight when it came up. I agree, once getting the upgrades slows down, I may switch again to Breath of milk. Since I’m still somewhat active, I’ll keep the dragon flight.
