Much improved from my OP. Today I had a leftover grilled hellfire porkchop with Huy Fong chili garlic sauce.
Today I had rotewurst mit brot und senf and a “small”* mixed salad with potato salad and two glass of Pils.
Dinner was even better.
*small as in “what a freakin’ huge side salad!”
My wife, a friend of hers, and I went to a joint called “Jeng Chi Restaurant”.
We got:
Green onion pancakes
Hot & Spicy wontons
Boiled pork & napa cabbage dumplings
Small & Juicy dumplings
Pot stickers
I got pork & mustard tuber soup, and the two of them got egg drop soup.
Quite a good lunch, that’s for sure.
Some garlic hummus with pita chips.
Sunday morning, and for lunch we’ll be ordering delivery from the restaurant in our compound. I already know it will be phat kraphao kai sai khai dao for me. That’s minced chicken with basil, rice and a fried egg. The wife’s not sure; maybe some noodles, like rat na, where the noodles come in this rather thick broth. We have some sweetened, sticky mee krawp for a side snack. Maybe some Pringles thrown in. They have some new Pringles here that we picked up yesterday, something called Pringles Extreme. Dill Pickle and Buffalo Wings flavors. The wife really likes Pringles, and this kind is completely new.
