So, what'd you have for dinner?

Count me in for that tiramisu! We had baby back ribs, corn bread (my own recipe), artichokes (the whole thing, not out of the can,) homemade potato salad, sliced strawberries, and topped off with a bit of cookies and cream icecream.

Last night:
Steamed crab legs, steak on the grill, zucchini and squash on the grill, bread and butter pickles, Pete’s Wicked to drink. M&Ms for dessert.

Tonight:
Chicken and vegetable stir-fry with Jasmine rice. I’ve marinated the chicken in fresh garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy, cilantro, hot pepper and ginger. Sugar-free lemon jello for dessert.

Well, lemme tell ya.

Started off by heating up a big pan with some virgin olive oil. I threw in a shitload of garlic and browned it up nice. Then, I got some pork cutlets, peppered them and cooked them in the oil/garlic. After they were nicely browned I put in 2 cans of Campbells Mushroom soup and a can of mushrooms. I let them simmer for a bit.

In the meantime, I cut up 3 pieces of bacon and fried them up. I then put the bacon pieces in the cutlets/sauce. I let them simmer.

Fired up the rice cooker and cooked 5 cups of rice. By the time that was ready, the pork dish was too.

We had that with a bottle of Gewurztramiener for dinner and finished off with a bottle of Reisling Ice Wine for desert.

Having the same thing for dinner tonight but sans wine.

mmmm, spinach noodle salad from Republic in Union Square after a nice warm day studying in Central Park

New York strip steaks, USDA Prime, each around 12 ounces, cooked medium rare. Roast garlic mashed potatoes. Salad of bibb lettuce, tomatoes and carrots with a balsamic vinagrette dressing. Catena malbec and Escuda Rojo wines. Dessert was a choice of Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby or Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch.

Simple, yet effective at increasing the waist line…

Lobster stuffed with tacos     , but seriously I had homemade beef stew the girlfriend made mmm. tomorrow I’m making clam chowder (w/clams I dug the other day)

Stouffer’s Escalloped Chicken and Noodles and 4 Girl Scout cookies.

Last night we went to Longhorn Steaks. I had a filet, potato and a salad. It was, in a word, yummy.

I’m comin’ over to y’alls house to eat tomorrow!! Tonight I got something from Taco Hell–couldn’t tell you what it was, cause it all tastes the same.

Euty–American chop suey?? Isn’t that, like, macaroni? I used to live in NH!)

The Lickety=Split soft ice cream truck came by the office at 4:30 for the first time since September, so we all had a cone. Then I went home and made pasta and veggies with veggie tomato sauce. Standard supper, except sometimes I made it with cheese sauce, or cheese-tomato sauce, or with butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Last night I had Shrimp Fettucine Florentine served with Mustard Asparagus. To drink I had Amstel Light. No dessert as I’m trying to lose weight.

Hey Tevya, I really need to give you back your Cranium[sup]TM[/sup] game. Why don’t you and Mr. Tevya come over for dinner sometime?

Yeah, it’s a New England regional term for a skillet casserole, what other parts of the country refer to as “Beefaroni,” “Johnny Marzetti,” or “Slumgullion.”

Cooked macaroni or other pasta stirred into sauteed ground beef, onion, green pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, whatever appeals or is on hand.

Good American Homespun stuff. Let’s all suck up to Eutychus and try to weasel his personal recipe out of him.

Hi All!

Last nite I had an aussie pie for dinner (a chicken pot pie from costco)

Rich in Seattle

That sounds great! I’m sure that Mr. Tevya would also think that was a fine idea. Send me an email to let me know when is a good time for you. Also let me know if I can bring an appetizer, side dish, dessert, dancing girl, etc.

Last night I had a bowl of leftover turkey chile (made the day before from turkey breast, canned beans, Sierra Nevada pale ale, and lots of onions, chiles, garlic, and spices) served over leftover white rice, and a leftover green salad topped with leftover stir-fried snow peas, leftover grilled mushrooms, and a bit of filet from a Friday night dinner doggy bag. Not bad for leftovers.

Last night I had a quick dinner before blading.

I had a grilled cheese sandwich and a bit of leftover shrimp florentine linguine. I went out blading and then had an ice cream sundae :o and two Amstel Lights.

I’m starting my diet again today!

I love making meals from leftovers. Your meal sounds like it was delicious!

Last night I ate an entire can of Campbell’s Pork and Beans with two pieces of multigrain toast. Not a gourmet meal but I do loves me my beans and toast.

Damn you, tevya, you’ve killed the thread!

I know! I’ve cleared out the whole room and sit mumbling to myself about what I’d done.

But I swear I’d do it again for the love of those sweet, sweet beans!
