So who should play Catwoman?

While Batman has a really good set of (comic book) villains, I think Spiderman is right there.

First Tier

Doc Ock
Green Goblin
Venom

Second Tier

Sandman
Kingpin (Would be higher, but Daredevil took him over)
Lizard
Scorpion
Chameleon
Vulture
Kraven
Electro
Mysterio
Rhino

Third Tier

Hammerhead
Morbius
Jackal
Hydro-Man
Carnage
Beetle
Hobgoblin
Shocker

I would put Hobgoblin in at least the 2nd tier. The original Hobgoblin storyline was fairly long-lasting and central.

Not to question anyone’s taste, but in lieu of a thin hollywood-type body, wouldn’t some people (like me) prefer a nice hourglass figure filling out that cat suit…like this one?

Jeez, I never realized how many Spiderman villians were named after animals.

You should see the Spider-Ham equivalents!

Never mind…

removes embarrassing mistake of naming a hero (though an oddball one) as a villain…

I thought Dr. Doom was a Spider Man villain. He was certainly the first Spider Man villain I knew of from the sunday comics.

If people think Dita von Teese, then how about the actress who portrayed the woman she stole all her schtick from? Film’s Bettie Page, Gretchen Mol

Well, the natural choice would be Jocelyn Wildenstein.

Jokes aside, I’m pulling for Ali Larter. Rawr.

Have you all forgotten Robot Arm’s First Law of Superhero Movie Castling? You ignore it at your peril. For those who are new here:

Anyone can put on a costume. Iron Man worked because Robert Downey Jr. was so good as Tony Stark. Tobey Maguire was a good Peter Parker. Christopher Reeve was a great Clark Kent. Jessica Alba is no astronaut.

But I’m not familiar enough with the current canon to know where Catwoman fits these days. She’s been a rich socialite and a mousy secretary in the past, right?

Find the right actress to play her out of the costume (you know what I mean) and the rest will work.

As the one who originally suggested Dita von Teese, I definitely think Mol would work as well, if not better (since she’s an actress).

But she is a convincing space cadet.

And a gigantic, racially insensitive egg.

ZING!

Oh, my god…if I ever knew about that one, I probably scrambled the memories in self-defense.

I have to go with Cherize Theron. She has played slinky in Aeon Flux but I was thinking more of what she did in (her Academy Award winning performance in) Monster. She has the chops to play a heartless villian.

I don’t want to hijack this thread, so should we start up another to talk about Batman movie villians in general like Hugh Jackman as the Penguin or Mike Meyers as The Riddler?

Um … wow. What year was that?

That rocket/locket thing has got to cause all kinds of confusion at the flunky level.

And to the OP, cast Rosario Dawson and there’s a chance I would go see that movie.

All you’ll ever need to know about Egg Fu.

I was going to post that someone said her on page one but IT WAS YOU!!!

If you’re going for hourglass body only, Salma Hayek. And Katherine Heigl; she could play glamor but I think she would crash and burn acting against Christian Bale.

Amazing. It’s nice that the Wikipedia category “Fictional eggs” has more than one entry.
