Yay! Last day at irk for me today, and have next to nothing to do so I will be spending my day finding little jobs to keep me occupied. I have to leave early anyway to get home, stuff the mogs in their carriers and transport them off to the cattery for their holiday. Once the cats have been settled in their palatial surroundings at Pond Cottage, I can go home again and pack. Got to get the train at 11.45am on Wednesday to the airport and thus the great adventure will begin.
BLURF. Whine. I DO NOT WANT TO GET UP AND GO TO IRK.
I am taking the day off tomorrow and only have to irk a half day on Thursday. Or not. I wish I’d just taken off starting today. My boss is on holiday to Japan and I already turned in my time. So, I will do what I said I was going to do.

We even have a flash flood watch in effect until tomorrow night. OYKW has left on his journey to the wilds of West Alabammy. It will be a rainy ride all the way, poor thing.

OK, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. I should also purtify up a bit even though I am goin’ nowhere today.

It’s wet outside, kind of gloomy.
Today is go get groceries day. I ordered them last night. I’ll probably top off the gas tank too, just in case. I’ve got about 3/4’s of a tank but it takes a half tank to go to the armpit and back.
Sometime in the next few days we have to give the dog a bath and trim his toenails.
Ah, of course. I stand corrected. 
I think I may have a mouse under my kitchen sink. I found what I believe are droppings. Weird because my kitchen has no outside walls, and I am on a slab. D-Con will be purchased and installed. And no, I do not want a cat/rat terrier/snake.
Up, caffeinated, working late shift tonight. It’s 54 and raining. it might hit 80 on Christmas Day.

Nothing closer than Knoebels planned at this point but I will keep you in the loop should something come up. If it makes it worth the drive, we are trying to talk Dick Knoebel and his golf course manager into letting us play a round or Mortar Golf on their course – shoot the ball to the green and put it out. Should be a (sorry) bang-up time!

Howdy Y’all! Irk is over, let the week and a half of sloth and mirth begin! WOOHOO!!! OYKW made it to the wilds of West Alabammy and said the trip was not too bad. He ran into some patches of rain but nuttin’ awful, so yay for that. There is a big ol’ band of ick headed our way from the Gulf of Mexico however.

Irk is over for me too except for 4 hours on the 24th. Finally home. We are having hamburgers for supper cause I am lazy. I think I will have a couple of beers.

Irk is over for me too. Right now, I’m getting the oil changed in the twuck so Jesse can drive it back to Texas this weekend. I have a couple of errands to run, and then it’s home to pack.
Home from irk, off tomorrow (yay!). The one productive activity I have planned between now and Thursday morning is a load of laundry that cannot be postponed further.
I got invitated to have dindin at Gargano’s AKA the good Eyetalian restaurant. I had bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms, sallit, bread sticks and chikin parmesan. ‘Twas waaaaaaaaaaaaaay nummy plus leftover chikin and pasta for N.O.L. tomorrow. I told OYKW I had eaten there and he called me a big ol’ doodoo. 
I want to cancel Christmas.
I’m thinking about seeing if we can do Christmas Eve at my mother’s instead of Christmas Day.

We have plans for Christmas! Because of the good weather, we’re running out towards State College and spending Christmas Day with the cousins. Even if I work Christmas Eve (still possible at this point) its an easy drive and we’re getting a room out that way so we can ease home Saturday.
Our shipping center got a heads-up from the FCs that tomorrow could be over 250k so I am doing a double. Some special shipping deal and discounts from Headquarters. I am either dedicated or nucking futs. Opinions from those outside the vegetable kingdom would not be objected to.
