We went out for dinner tonight at the local pizza parlor. Airman and the sprog have a silly game they play that involves French fries and ketchup. (Don’t ask.) Anyway, competition for the ketchup bottle (I told you not to ask.) resulted in a large glass of iced tea being dumped in my lap. :smack:
After dinner, as I was pulling out of my parking space, I tapped into a car parked behind me. (The parking lot is really narrow and a shitty place to park, but still.) The other driver called the police to get a report, and the cop decided the accident was my fault, and that I needed to file a claim with my insurance company. I also have a ding on my shiny new car. :smack:
At least I’ve got half a day off tomorrow, thanks to Gov. Wolf. That’s something to look forward to, I guess.
Lots of rain here but nothing serious. My friend in Baltimore has a flooded basement and flash flood warnings down her way.
I’m happy it’s rain and not snow and ice.
I’m tired.
Two more days and everything can go back to normal.
Much goofing off happened today. I do have to work opening shift tomorrow, then the next time I have to be at work is closing on Saturday.
I was a little more productive than planned today. Ran the dishwasher and clipped the cat’s front claws (the back ones never really seem to need attention). I sneak up on her when she’s snoozing, then give her treats after the trimming. She was pretty cooperative this time around.
Today is at least a half-day, so I can go home and spend some quality time with the sprog before he goes to his gramma and grampa’s house for Christmas Eve. Maybe.
Sticky, if you invite mumpers to a wedding, it might not be over until six months later, when appologies are issued to his new bride & the judge.
I am up way too early considering I went to bed around 2.
Don’t know what I’m doing today, I didn’t call my mother yesterday about coming today instead. I’ll call her today and see if I can get the times down.
I saw another damn mouse this morning - this is getting old. I have no idea where they are getting in. I should buy stock in D-Con
& Sticky isn’t that far over the border in [del]OhNo[/del] Ohio. Always confuse those two; they’re only one letter different & the former is what I think of the latter
We have already set a record high for today; eclipsing the previous record of 64°
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a very cloudy, dreary, muggy 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 77 for the day. The same forecast goes for Ye Olde Home Towne except there’s a lot of rain between here and there right now. I shall wait until around tennish this mornin’ to journey hopin’ all the rain and storms will have gone through by then. I have managed to pack, so Go Me!
{{{Rockin’}}} sorry about the ding on the new wheels.
I’ve been up for two hours already, no thanks to a body used to rising early for work.Got a bare amount of shopping to do, walk the dog, do some housecleaning.
This evening I serve as a chalist at the 5:30 service at church, then I’ll go to mom’s house to exchange family gifts. I’ll also serve as a chalist at the 10;30 service.
Tomorrow I’ll go to church as well. So, I’ll be “deheathenized”(as swampy would put it) three times in less than twenty four hours.
Merry Christmas everyone!
I’m working half day then off to find something for a friend for Xmas. Family stuff tomorrow then laziness for the rest of the weekend. There are like, 3 people in in my entire department here, it is soooo quiet. I should finish what little work I have, I suppose. 2 1/2 hours to go.
Sari, stick to sticky traps or snap traps, you don’t want the little bastards crawling off to mummify in the walls. Best to have a body to dispose, than know, for weeks, one is there.
Oh cute…just saw one of those “only in California” type things on the news. A VW Beetle cabrio with the top down, and two Christmas trees standing up in the back seat.
Tell me about it. It’s fun to watch all y’all getting worked up about cleaning and decorating and baking and cooking and shopping and dealing with relatives while I sit back and laugh.
I’m upholding tradition by having lunch with the sprog at the local Chinese joint.
