Maybe this rule varies by state? Or maybe I am misunderstanding the article (which is very possible! ). Perhaps the deadline was to get someone else’s name on the ballot?
It’s satire about a fake website hotornotdish.com. Hot dish is a midwestern thing, and hotornot is probably a woman rating website, so it’s a pretty clever combo, actually.
I don’t know if it’s still in existence, but yes, www.hotornot.com is/was a site where people would submit pictures of themselves to be rated in a scale of 1-10.
Embarrassingly, in my much younger, less mature days I visited that site several times, though I don’t recall ever actually rating anyone. More morbid curiosity on my part.

Funny thing is that like 90% of the people discussing the Robinson story don’t know how batshit the stuff really is because CNN left almost all of it out of the story (for kind of understandable reasons.)

Four senior members of the Robinson campaign resigned today. Doesn’t matter whether they resigned on their own or were pushed out - there’s basically no one left to run the campaign.
If NC is blue, I image the rest of the states are blue enough that it’s not needed, but I’d love to not have to depend on GA ratfuckery not working or waiting until early morning to hear about AZ / NV. Down ballot implications would also be welcome.
