Ah, yes. Susan Oliver. But almost all of the other women will do. Trek seems to have an overabundance of babes. Mmm…Grace Whitney and Nichelle Nichols…
Yeoman Colt She has unusually strong female drives!
Mother Horta
Joann Lindel, the Rolulan Commander from The Enterprise Incident
The Romulan commander was Joanne Linville.
In a similar vein, I found Tasha Martel, a.k.a. Spock’s wife, kinda cute.
It must be the ears.
I have my moments of lust for the Romulan Commander, Yvonne Craig’s mad and beautiful Marta, and the not-quite-human Andrea, and I’ve always had a soft place in my heart for Rayna, even though she’s a blonde, my one true heart will always belong to the ill-fated Marla McGivers.
That should have read:
What he said.
[hijack] I’m absolutely convinced that Spock was shagging Yeoman Janice Rand. Can’t recall the exact episodes, but there were a few instances where I swear he was flirting with her. [/hijack]
- Joanne Linville as the Romulan Commander
- Mariette Hartley as Zarabeth; and
- Yvonne Craig as Marta.
Why do people list more than one choice when asked which was/is best?
I did it because ST:TOS, much like life itself, is a great continuum, and besides, picking three favorites is more fun than just picking one!
Fun is good.
Not aimed at you, lots of folks do it.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Sally Kellerman yet. She was indeed the most beautiful woman on Star Trek.
when do we add 'em all up?
i vote for the android Andrea as # 1 Just Absolutely O My God!
2nd place has got to be all those little old women aliens in The Cage and Menagerie. (Wow! Look at the brains on her!) You did know they were all women, didn’t you?
3rd: Lela (Spock’s ex-girlfriend) “I heard you, Jim” “then why didn’t you answer?” “I didn’t want to.”
ok, my real # 2 is Yeoman Colt from The Cage
How about after, say, 100 posts, we add up the score? Sound good to anyone?
I posted a couple of days ago, and my post got eaten. I come back and STILL not one person has mentioned Nurse Chappel - aka Mrs. Gene Roddenberry. What?
OK, what do I know about hot women. I always thought she was gorgeous as a young woman, and quite attractive and handsome as an older woman later on (Luoxana Troi).
Masonite, I know it’s not fair, but I think a lot of people personally don’t care for Majel Barrett Roddenberry, and hate the character of Luoxana Troi. (If you were Gene Roddenberry, and you were shagging both Nichelle Nichols and Majel Barrett while you were still married, would you have picked Majel?)
How about the witch-doctor chick in “A Private Little War”? It was a silly, unnecessary subplot, but she was hot.
Many fine choices listed above, but I’m going to have to stick up for my favorite damsel in distress, Emily Banks as Yeoman Barrows from “Shore Leave”.
Okay, this is pretty much a total highjack, but TheeGrumpy’s post reminded me of something I noticed a couple years ago when the Sci-Fi channel ran the original series uncut episodes.
In Balance of Terror, the sub-plot has Specialist Angela Martine preparing to marry Specialist Tomlinson. Of course, Tomlinson is the one person you can expect to die during the battle with the Romulan ship. At the end of the episode Kirk gives an uplifting emotional speech to Angela, who’s obviously broken up over the death of her fiance’.
In the very next episode, Shore Leave, Angela Martine is making time with Lieutenant Rodriguez! For God’s sake, lady! The body’s not even cold yet!
It sure undercuts the impact of the emotional scenes in the previous episode…
Eric
There were lots of beautiful women through out the series bu the only face that really sticks in my mind was the girl who played Miri, Kim Darby. Hard to believe she was already 19 in that episode.
You name more than one because there is more then one definition of best. Ask which ONE you would most like to boink.
PLUS I can’t believe that none of you have pointed that the Brown Haired Crew Chick did in fact get crushed.
