I’ve seen the promos for SW Battlefront 2 for PS2, and seen several copies of I at my local game store, but I’ve been scared off by the network play option. Are they worth getting (playable) if I just want a 1 player game? How many of the options are only multiplayer/network?
My friend thoroughly enjoyed the single-player version, but I’m afraid I can’t give you a rundown of exactly what is playable alone. I know that with two controllers, one can have a great Galactic Conquest game. I assume you can also do it by yourself.
My gf’s little brother rented it a while ago and I played through the first player. On the normal difficulty level it was incredibly easy and took very little time to play through. I can see where it might be a cool game over the network, but if you are just playing with one or two players I’d just rent it.
They are great, even if you don’t do the online version. The first version was one of my favorite games of the last year. The second - I rented it, and my son is going to receive it for Christmas (shhh… don’t tell him)! It has the additional elements of fighting as a Jedi and having space battles, which are pluses, although the space battle portions become a bit repetitive.
I tried playing online, and it was okay, but Call of Duty online is far and away more enjoyable, in my book.
I have and have played through and beat Star Wars Battlefront. I’m going to be getting SWBF II for Christmas. The online thing is fun, but it is not necessary to play, beat or enjoy the game. After I have played it through I’ll play it online or play two player games when my friends come over.
