Stargate: Chimera (Maybe SPOILERS)

One thing that bugged me: Sam says at the very beginning of the episode that “there is no zoo in Colorado Springs.” Not only is there a zoo in Colorado Springs, it’s on top of Cheyenne Mountain. Y’know, Cheyenne Mountain, where Sam and all her Stargate buddies WORK? I’ve never gone up to NORAD, but I doubt you could drive there without seeing some signs for the zoo. Plus, she’s supposed to have been living in Colo. Spgs. for 7 years, at least. How could she have not noticed the zoo in all this time? Sloppy, sloppy research on the show’s part.

Also, her new boyfriend the cop has his buddy at the FBI do a background check on her, he tells her he’s going back to Denver but instead follows her around for two days… and she’s not the slightest bit PEEVED about this? And then she gets the okay to just go ahead and tell him everything about the Stargate, even though it’s the most classified thing on earth? What’s the rationale there? “Hey, you’ve disrespected me and stalked me, so… I’ll tell you the most secret thing on earth!” Bah.

And they had a battle - complete with ray guns, loud gunshots, an exploding van, and a weird looking, ray shooting woman with glowing eyes - in broad daylight in a suburban neighborhood. I suppose they had Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith use their memory erasing thingy on the whole neighborhood.

IMHO they are introducing this guy to eventually get a spot on the SG1 team, as I have heard that one of the team will be killed off this season—and the way things are going, I think that teammember will be Jack.

YHO is wrong in every particular except that a major cast member dies this year. Sorry.

Got details, ED?

I am surpirsed about the zoo bit. Another thing that made me go huh? was the fact that the members of the team working on the most classified thing on Earth have NO security or monitoring outside of SG1 Command. Riiiiight, cuz the bad guys, be they Goa’uld, the NSA creeps, the Russians, or whatever will never try to intercept the team members outside Cheyenne Mountain. I guess I had just assumed there would be sensors or other devices at their homes.

And Major Carter is SMOKING hot! We really need to see more of her, and yes, I do mean that in the worst way you can imagine

I read somewhere that they’re killing off:

Dr. Frasier.

I know who and when as absolute facts, but I won’t give them away.

I also know a few things about the season finale, season 8 and Stargate: Atlantis. Suffice to say that the legends of Atlantis are true - but the city isn’t located on Earth.

Stargate Atlantis sounds cool. I amsure you can’t reveal any thing more that you know about the finale etc…?

I thought it was fairly amusing that, to get a job on the show, your odds are vastly improved if you’re a member of the De Luise family- “Pete” was the fourth De Luise family member to appear on the show.

It was a very strangely-paced episode, too- just a bit of action, right at the end. I liked it, though- it was a nice change of pace.

And, yeah- Samantha’s incredibly hot. Holy cow.

Well, if you know something we don’t, that’s fine.

Fourth and last, according to an interview I read recently; they’ve all now appeared. Of course, it helps that Peter de Luise is a regular scriptwriter.

RikWriter - yes, I do know something you lot obviously don’t, although it’s all freely available if you know where to look. The reason I’m keeping mum is because there are a fair few tense situations coming up in the final six episodes and if I say where and when and who - even in a spoiler box - it’s going to take a lot of enjoyment out of the show for others. I myself found out by accident; I tend to avoid future spoilers for Stargate.
