Still not out on DVD

a Bud Cort commentary version of HAROLD AND MAUDE (heck, I’m not sure a regular H&M disc is out)

Louis Jourdan’s COUNT DRACULA (BBC Production)

NBC’s 1981 BRAVE NEW WORLD (also with Bud Cort)

TWIN PEAKS Season 2

a mass market disc of ERASERHEAD (I know Lynch sells it from his site)

Sifl—and—Ol-ly! Sifl and Olly Show!

“Buy my crotchless chastity belts! SUCKERS!!!”

Seconded!

NONE of the Astaire/Rogers musicals are on DVD. NONE of them. That’s outrageous! A boxed set would be nice.

Speaking of musicals I’d also like The Band Wagon, Holiday Inn, Summer Stock and anything with Deanna Durbin.

My VHS copy of Ball of Fire is wearing out so that needs to be on DVD as does Ninotchka.

As far as TV is concerned, I’ve had a yen to see Homefront again.

Speaking of TV shows, and wanting it now, even though I’m currently jobless, I will nonetheless show up early to the stores on a certain day that will live in infamy to pony up cash for Gargoyles!

Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers - a highly absurd Swedish short about a gang of percussion-obsessed housebreakers. I yearn for a copy of this so much that I actually contacted the director, who said it would be available ‘soon’, but that must have been a year ago or more.

King Kong. I figured they’d have put out some kind of special edition for the seventieth anniversary last year, but I guess not. I hope they’re just waiting to piggyback on Peter Jackson’s version.

You can’t release a DVD of a movie which was never made.

In all seriousness, I do own that movie on DVD. It originated from Europe. I don’t get why Disney won’t pull their heads out of their asses and release it here. There’s nothing more offensive than what was in some of those On the Front Lines cartoons, and what could be considered offensive could be cleared up with a 2 minute Leonard Maltin intro.

Besides, with the kind of pacing that movie has, most kids these days probably won’t even want to watch it unsupervised anyway…

Cannery Row - I still can’t figure out why it hasn’t been transferred yet.

Help

I agree with Let It Be.

Heck, I’d love to see the short-lived TV series Brimstone on DVD, but Warner has “No Plans for Release at This Time”.

Bastards.

I check HBO’s store every once in a while looking for this!

I really want Dinosaurs to come to DVD. That’s one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen.

G vs E (aka “Good vs. Evil”)

Monster Squad

It’s like Goonies versus Dracula.

Oh yeah, also The Pirate Movie.

I’m in the process of transferring my tapes to DVD. That should get them to release it.

Dinosaurs, the Jim Henson series, was pretty popular, but I’ve never seen it on DVD in stores anywhere.

I really, really, really, really want to see Yellowbeard on DVD. Hell, I’d settle for VHS, but even those seem to be out of print.

Most Jim Henson TV series are reluctant to be released on DVD. Even the original movies are barebones, and the Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock are only selected episodes.

But since the buyout of Henson by Disney, new DVDs are one of the many things planned on happening.
